July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

I have complete faith that we'll make the date, with plenty to spare. My guess: June 5th.

BTW: I forgot to ask the other, related question (though asking it separately will generate more posts!!!): How many pages will we have by July 9th?? There, Lori, you now have your chance to win those two strawberries!!! :cool1: :cool1:

I will say 95 pages! Although I won't be able to add anything after the 4th as we are leaving early on the 5th -- ok I may get up at the crack of dawn to post just one more!! :earboy2:

Oh my, I really had better start on my diet!! It's bad enough with all those desserts on the Magic, now we're adding extra chocolate! :bounce:

My guesses are that we will reach 90 pages by May 28th and that we will be at 104 pages by July 9th.

June 1st is my guess! Chris~Sorry about the outside temps, it has been a little extra cold this week! Lori~We still have to make plans for our NJ Meet!

Thanks for the pictures! It's great to put faces with the names. For anyone who wants (dares) to see pictures of us, there are some in the link in my signature.

I keep meaning to ask - how many of you are going to be at DL prior to the cruise. I did not originally plan on going before the cruise but now I'm thinking about going up on Friday. Maybe we can have a little meet on Friday evening?

We are flying into Long Beach on July 4th. We should be at DL in time for fireworks!

Looks like there are now several new columns to add to my cheat sheet:
-Stateroom number
-Early/Late seating info
-Occupation
-Sail away drink preference

Have a good week everyone.
Chris

SR 5020
Early Seating (we are from the east you know)
I am an IT Manager, DW is a Regulatory Manager.
I will drink anything as long as I am warm and on a ship!
Chocolate from any origination.

I am busy getting caught up here. Alot has been happening, been away attending my niece's wedding. DW would not let me bring my laptop and there were always folks in the business center at the hotel when I did have a chance.

Have a good weekend!

HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS? WE GOT AN EMAIL TODAY FROM THE DIS NEWSLETTER THAT SAYS --

We’ve all heard that Disney Cruise Line is building a third ship and that they are waiting until the Dollar vs. the Euro thing works itself out. I know what your thinking…..yeah, yeah, yeah…..heard that……tell us something new.

Ok kids….this is the new stuff…. and it’s a list:

The new ship will be sailing out of Florida with the Magic moving to California
The name…The Disney Dream….of course.
There will be expandable restaurants. The main restaurants will be larger in size with parts able to be closed off or opened depending on need.
Another restaurant similar to Palo, but with a French Bistro theme
Animator’s Palate will be there, but all dolled up by a Las Vegas show designed, with many more special effects.
Children’s programming to be expanded and become much more involved.
The main pool will have an “Under the Sea with Nemo” theme. There will be things suspended over the pool (think fish) and stilt walkers.
The ship will be several decks taller then the current ships, but not wider. The current ships just fit through the Panama Canal.
There will be many more stateroom options including larger parties of 5 or 6 six passengers.
The Disney Dream will carry the same look as the current ships. It will have the classic 30’s Ocean Liner look.

COOL HUH?

Val

With all the rumors I've heard over the past 5 years about the "third ship," I'm taking these with a grain of salt. It all sounds wonderful, but I'm afraid I'll believe it when I see it.

In the same vein, there's a new rumor about Disney putting up a DVC property near Disneyland - that, too, I'll believe when I see...

Put me down for June 24th (Timmy's birthday) and remember, DH, that Cassie would rather eat choc& strawberries than breathe, so you'll have to get an extra dozen for her and hide the rest. :rolleyes1

Sara- accross the street from the convention center is the Gaslamp District with about 2 dozen restaurant and bars (and a lot of people). Everything from steak, thai, seafood, sushi ( :crazy2: sorry, like mine dead :rotfl: ), tapas, Hard Rock, TGIFridays, mexican (that's so-so). It's pretty trendy and so pretty $$$ is a lot of places.

:chat:Hey, how's the emailing going between the kids everyone? :hyper2:

My word, no posts at all yesterday :confused3 :confused3

This must mean that either the internet is down everywhere, or y'all are enjoying a full, great weekend. I hope it's the latter.

Chris

Hey, Chris...that was weird...NO posts at ALL!!! :confused3 We were at a booth outstide a grocery store selling girl scout cookies most of the day!! But I don't know what happened to everyone else...maybe the internet WAS down everywhere!! :rotfl2:

Cheri--as for e-mail with the kids--we haven't sent or received any in awhile--we need to get more on top of that so the kids are more familiar with each other before the cruise! I'm going to try to have Alexis write to Cassie, Megan, and Julianna this weekend! :flower:

Kim

Good morning! Weekends are very busy for us at this time of the year. And I'm trying to be good and not spend the time that I am home on the computer.

Kim - next Saturday we will be at Rancho Cucamonga High School at a color guard tournament. Anywhere near you?

Sheila--You'll be about two blocks away from us!! We should walk on over and see you! :flower:

Kim

Ooh, color guard! Brings back memories. :cheer2: What kind of tournament? Guess it's Winter Guard time, isn't it? Are there any Drum and Bugle Corps left in the southland for whne the kids graduate? It was so fun to keep going after high school.

can you post a picture somewhere? I use Ofoto all the time.

Wish I could say the weekend was wonderful but spent most of it hanging speakers, and shuttling Dylan around to Basketball practice and games. I just had our basement finished with a media room, Pool Table, and built in bar. It was supposed to be Dylan's playroom, but I threw in a few extras for me!! I spent most of the weekend on a ladder installing the sound system. It sounds great but was a pain in the neck to hang the speakers.

Well at least the weather is warming up! I almost have a touch of spring fever!

Sheryl

We were in Palm Springs this weekend. DH and DD (darling Dad that is) went golfing yesterday while DD, DM and I went shopping and to lunch. The weather wasn't great yesterday, but today it was beautiful. Drove right past your neck of the woods Mommykeg. Hope you did well boothing. We're doing ours on Tuesday and Thursday.

The date I pick for 90 pages is May 27th--DD's b-day. By July 9th, I think we'll be at 110.

Yeah, we're in the middle of Winter Guard right now. We enjoy Winter Guard more than the fall marching season. There are still Drum and Bugle Corps around. As a matter of fact, we went to an exhibition show of some of the top Corps that was held at the stadium a few months ago. There are also "Independent" Winter Guards that are awesome.

I have a site to post pictures on but so far I haven't gotten any good ones yet this year. I really need a better camera for these things. There was a photographer there who takes great pictures. I'm waiting for him to put up his pics to see what he got of us.

Well, we paid off the balance of our cruise today!

Of course, it helped that we got good news over the weekend -- a $5,000 refund check coming from the IRS! :Pinkbounc Best news ever! :cheer2:

Val & Stu :lovestruc

Yea Val and Stu!!! My DH receives his annual bonus this Friday, so we'll be paying ours off, too!

Congrats Val & Stu! The 'Refund Fairy' strikes again! Checking in from another long weekend of yard work and volunteering with the animals (at the shelter). Ya'll have been busy too!!
