July 9th 2005 - West Coast Cruise.

Cheri - Darren and I stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea during our honeymoon. We remember that restaurant VERY well!! Luckily for us, dinner at that restaurant (though the name escapes me) was included in the honeymoon package we booked there, so I never saw the bill, though I'm sure it was in the range of yours......

Okay, here it is.

Stateroom--7065
Seating--Early
Occupation--DH is Mgr. of IT Finance for a major health insurance co. and I am a stay-at-home Mom who dabbles in some independent contractor work.
Drink of choice--I said Bahama Mama, not sure about DH, though :confused3

Cheri -

Your Hawaiian dinner reminded me of the first time Mike & I ate at Victoria & Albert's in Disneyworld... Mike & I had both skipped lunch, since we were eating early and knew it was a 7 course meal (plus wine). I didn't make it all the way through dessert (though everything was fabulous and the wait staff wanted to make a big deal about California wines... To which Mike responded, "do you consider Real Florida Orange Juice a big deal?, well we live an hour away from most of these wineries & they aren't a huge deal to us."), but Mike said he wanted a Pizza afterwards since the portions were so tiny.

Oh well, to each his own.

But the food (what little of it there was) was Excellent. Service best I had ever had.
Chocolate soufflé was to die for.

Chocolate? Did someone mention chocolate?!

Maybe we should organize a chocolate tasting for our little group... After all, Mexico is the birthplace of chocolate!

If anyone interested brings one type to share, we should have a nice variety. Being in N. California, we have easy access to Godiva, Ghiradelli, & Scharfenberger... Anyone else?

We should probably limit it to Milk, Dark & Special (bittersweet, flavored, etc) and *just* chocolate, nothing with fillings...

Sara

Wine, chocolate, no shoes! Man, oh man, I can't wait! Count me in for that 'Chocolat' party.

Count me in on the Chocolate and Wine party. Although I am trying to think what special choclates we have in MD -- the closest thing is Pennsyvania -- but somehow Hershey's just doesn't cut it!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :moped:

California wines and chocolates from Hershey, PA? Sounds like the good life to me! :teeth:

Hey everyone,

Just checking in from sunny & warm New York City....NOT!!!! Things have been hectic here during the day, and my hotel room has no internet connection, so posting has been a bit of a challenge.

I hope everyone is having a good week. Maybe we can make "chocolate" the theme of the on-board party. In addition to whatever chocolate we bring, maybe I can coax some chocolate-covered strawberries from room service....that might be a good idea, no? :confused3 :confused3

Chris - I'm sorry you're not enjoying our wonderful March weather!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: Chocolate-covered strawberries are right up my alley!!!!!

Chocolate covered strawberries! That did it! How soon can everyone get to the ship?! Our cruise starts now! :hyper: :hyper:

Sounds good to me. :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc Just make sure to get enough for everyone else, too.

Sara

Chocalate covered strawberries -- sounds really good! Sorry to hear that the eastern coast has not been kind to you! I must admit if the weatherman says that the typical March temperatures are 51 when it will only be 37 one more time -- I am losing a tv!!!! :Pinkbounc :confused3

Chocolate covered strawberries....we have a winner!!! OK, that idea went over well :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Don't worry, Sara, I grew up with the rule that if you bring something, you have to bring enough to share with everyone!

Thanks for the sympathy on the weather, folks. I must say, it's actually been sunny since I got here....just cold. I think most New Yorkers would consider today to be very nice, at least for this time of year.

Someone just passed around a sheet for an office pool here...the receptionist is due sometime in April, and we're supposed to guess when the baby will be born. That gave me an idea: I would like to hear guesses as to the date when we will hit our 90-page goal...the winner gets an extra chocolate-covered strawberry!!!

Poor Cris -- I bet the weather is really cold for you!! I hope you brought a coat!

My guess will be June 28. Don't ask me why -- it just came to me!

Sheryl

OK, I'll bite... 90 Pages on July 3, 2005.

Poor Chris - at least it's not raining. I get to spend M-W next week in San Diego, and I'm hoping for sunny *and warm* even though I'll be working 10 hour days. Anyone have recommendations for good eats near the Convention Center?

Sara

When will we hit 90-pages? Hmmmm, I'll take a stab and say July 1. Can you believe from our staff of 15, we had 4 babies due within 3 months! We finally have all the 'new mommies' back from maternity leave. Chris, a bit of advice.... don't drink the water! :rotfl: :rotfl:

With this talk of strawberries covered in chocolate, this dancing banana guy really needs to be dipped in chocolate..... and become one of those Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Bananas!

First off, only ONE extra strawberry...... I think at least two extra are in order!!! Anyway, I'll make my guess be June25th. It better be by July 1st though, because our flight leaves early on the 2nd, and I'll be out of touch until we board the Magic!!!
