Princess Bette, you and your family will be just a few doors down from mine! Looks like there are quite a few families that are on deck 7, actually. We will be waving to each other as we get on and off elevators!
I realized that I have 4 decks up or 4 decks down to get to the places I wish to be (food and fun!). Usually I take the stairs if it is 3 decks or less. Reading how busy the elevators are, maybe I need to start getting my thighs into "stair mode". Gosh, there are so many things I need to do just to be ready to cruise!
How cool would that be to be on the Dream when the shuttle takes off?
My eldest, the one doing the Internship at Epcot, had a group field trip yesterday to the Kennedy Space Center. She was very impressed, and is also hoping we can see the shuttle blast off. My youngest and her BF are too busy worrying about finals next week to even think about anything trip related right now. I will be so glad when school is finished!
Is everyone that's driving, parking at the port? I read a review on the boards today about the new parking shuttle place, and decided to make a reservation. There is a 10% off coupon on their website if you reserve online. For us, this is probably best, since the traffic as we get to port, and trying to figure out where to go, always causes small bouts of conflict between DH and I. He is terrible with navigations, and actually got lost once after dropping us off with our luggage and then going back to park the car! Managed to get back onto the highway instead! Hence, I am the navigator, and my job is to steer him away from traffic. Hard to do at the Port!
Better for us if someone else take us the last couple of miles, and then all of us can just ooh and ahh over the Dream as we go over the last bridge!
Here on the homefront, looks like we have renters for my mom's house! I have been slowly getting my mom used to the idea of selling her home, but housing prices being what they are, she won't get her buying price back. Thankfully, she owns the home free and clear, but the thought of getting rid of it, even though she hasn't lived in it since September, is very hard for her.
Out of the blue, a family from church contacted me last week, and we now have renters! I know, in my mom's mind, this is still hard to understand, but at least the house won't sit empty and my mom will have a little bit more income coming in. I still don't know if she understands what is happening, but I hope it is going to be the right path for us to take at this time.
Of course, now I have to get her house ready in two weeks so the new renters can move in! This is so eating into my vacation preparation time! I really just want to sit at home with a note pad and jot down all the hints and tips I can find! You all understand, right?
