July 5, 2011 - Mickey's WONDERful Alaskan Adventure

Meg I see you have Aulani in your signature. We just added on there while on the cruise!

That's exciting! Congratulations neighbor!! I can't wait to visit. We're planning on July 2012 - seems like such a looooong way off. Aloha! :beach:

We're looking at October of 2012 for our anniversary. We visited Ko Olina back in 2007 and loved it!

OK, count me green with envy for the new DVC Hawaii owners  Walt and I have been thinking of adding on at the Grand Californian as we have a special affection for DL.

Sounds like a wonderful cruise Mary! A wedding AND an add-on :thumbsup2

welcome.. if you do decide to do the FE just let me know and i will add you to the list. i would also need your stateroom number as well.

Hi Tracy,
Are Walt and I listed for the FE? I'm doubting my sons will want to partake :lmao:

No, keep them on. They may get a kick out of it. I will be decorating their door whether they want me to or not :rotfl: When they pay their own passage they have a say :thumbsup2

Thanks,
Teresa

ok thats about what i am doing for my parents. they know of the fe thing but they dont know they are being included. I am making all the stuff for us and them though. i figured if anything they will get a kick out of it. i should start working on some of those now but too much is going on right now. have it on my list for vacation week though. want to get a jump start on part of it anyways.

I'm going to have to look at the other threads for ideas :cheer2:

Tracy,
could you add us to the FE list? We're in cabins 5126 and 5127 (across the hall). We're going to use just one FE on cabin 5126. There are 5 of us: Meg, Joe, Jack (15), Maddie (13), and Charlotte (10).

thanks!
Meg

Please add us to the FE list, too. We went on a 4 day Wonder cruise (our first Disney cruise) in February, and my children loved getting little gifts each day. It made the cruise just that much more special. It will be me, DH, DS (9), and DD (5). We are in cabin #8582. The cruise seems so far away, but with school starting soon, I know that time will fly.

all added.. we are up to 11 cabins participating so far.

We're heading back to Port Canaveral after a beautiful day at Castaway Cay. It will be our last night on the Wonder until our Alaskan cruise in a year. Had a great time and many wonderful memories. Now we can fully start planning and paying for this cruise!

Glad you had a beautiful day at our happy place~:goodvibes

Will anyone be posting a little trip report about your cruise and the wedding? I need my cruise fix :goodvibes How did the Wonder look? Walt and I haven't been on her since our very first cruise many years ago.

The ship's looking great, the Outlook Cafe is going to be PERFECT for Alaska viewing. :)

They also upgraded all the stateroom tv's to flatscreens with video inputs.

Alongside that they also re-arranged the in-stateroom viewing. Wasn't thrilled with the selection of mostly very old live-action movies. Used to be they'd have a bunch of soon-to-dvd stuff, not anymore. They do separate out the animated channels into three groups, classics, recent releases, and a whole channel of nothing but Pixar. Not a lot of repeating, but they need to work on staggering out the start times better, too many times literally nothing on any of them.

Now I know you sailed with us and some of the others from this thread on the 10-day, might want to pop by.. Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

Thanks for the info Mark! We are looking forward to our cruise and being on the Wonder again.

The guys will be disappointed about the in-room viewing. I remember one cruise where they watched The Terminal many times while enjoying a late night "all hands on deck" platter. Nice they have their own room now :thumbsup2

I'll pop over to the other thread to see who I recognize :goodvibes

sounds awesome. we never watched much of the tv in the stateroom so that shouldnt be a big deal for us.

Tried to book our pre-cruise stay at the Pan Pacific and while the dates came up on the calendar when I put them in it said rooms not available for those dates. :scared1: So I've booked 3 nights pre-cruise at the Fairmont Waterfront right across the street. Now I just have to watch for air fares.

YIKES - booked a year out? I've just sent an email out to my TA to try and get us booked for pre-cruise days. We may be staying at the same hotel as some of our DIS cruisers. Fingers crossed....

you have to call the pan pacific directly to book this far in advance as their prices are not in the system yet. I found this out when i book ours thru them. and they gave me 2010 prices for our stay in 2011 :thumbsup2.. so if you still want to book their call directly..i have their 800 number if anyone wants it.
