Just took care of the last bit of business for the cruise. I booked our transportation from the airport to the hotel. We'll be taking DCL transportaton from the ship back to the airport.
HI Mary,
What did you book? We were thinking of taking a taxi....
Teresa
We booked a town car with Black Gloves Transportation. They are based at the Pan Pacific where we are staying. www.blackgloves.ca if you want to check them out.

ok i was just planning on taking the sky train to the hotel (pan pacific) but after looking at the web site i just sent them an email to see what would be available for us and decided i might just splurge and surprise dad with a limo ride to the hotel.![]()
Sounds like fun! Now I'm a little nervous that I was just planning on a taxi.
well with 5 of us i figured a taxi would be not very comfortable and might end up having to take 2 if there wasnt something big enough for all of us which is why i was doing the cheaper route of the sky train. will see what the reply is and see which way it really ends up being.
When we saw a trailer for Cars2 this weekend we noted that we won't see it at home as we're sure it will be the big movie for the cruise. That should be fun.
Need to start getting more things out and on the table like passports, binoculars, etc.
Good information. From what I've been told by friends the key is to layer. So we are planning on long pants, short sleeve shirts, fleece hoodies, and a waterproof windbreaker jacket. We'll most likely wear all layers for our whale watching excursion but maybe just one or two layers for days when we are in port but no on the water.
Karen - you picked the right group to go with. I'm sure you haven't had a chance to read all of the thread but we have a number of cancer survivors cruising (myself included) and one parent who is going through chemo now.
I did one of my cruises 2 weeks after my last chemo so I know how draining it can be. I think using ABD makes perfect sense as they will take care of everything!
Hi Mary/Mark;
I saw your forum activity and am very impressed. I thought I was organized and rarin' to go, but you guys put me to shame!
I am still reeling from the ABD cost, but really didn't want to be bothered with the details, as I've been battling aggressive breast cancer since December (just finished chemo two weeks ago) and am looking for a completely hassle-free vacation with my son and parents before surgery 2 days post-cruise and 5 1/2 weeks radiation thereafter.
Michael and I did ABD Italy in September '09 with my husband (he's sitting this one out) and we absolutely loved the pampering and magical touches...so I'm in for the excitement again!
I'm looking forward to seeing the green ribbon group at the terminal...we're getting there at 11 (you can recognize me because I have no hair!).
