July 4th week?

First time going for 4th of July. Is it crazy crowded at the parks?

I’ve been during July 4th weekend and it was crowded but definitely manageable. I wouldn’t worry too much. As long as you have your plans set, you’ll be good!

We've gone July 4 week the last few years. We don't go into the parks during the day on July 4. We go to Magic Kingdom on the 3rd and see the fireworks there (they do the same show on the 3rd and 4th). On the 4th, we go to a waterpark during the day and have an ADR in Epcot at night and see the fireworks then. We get to the parks at rope drop every day and haven't found it to be overly crowded. Crowded, yes, and you need to have a plan, but definitely doable. Definitely not the exaggerated horror stories you might read.

Not Christmas week crowded but anytime kids are out of school it will have larger crowds. Holidays as well.

No, with the lone exception being MK itself on the 4th of July evening itself.

We've done many 4th of July trips, we love that time of year.

Did it this past year. Very manageable. MK (typically) has some nice, long hours on 7/3 & 7/4.

7/3 and 7/4 are more crowded for sure. But no different than any other busy or holiday time, in my humble opinion.

I was in/around the MK both Monday 7/3 and Tuesday 7/4 this past year. I can't prove this obviously, but it "felt" to me that 7/3 was more crowded than 7/4. MK does two nights of special fireworks, Epcot only does one, so that likely had something to do with it.

Magic Kingdom has 'special' fireworks for both July 3rd & July 4th. Therefore, MK is very crowded.

Otherwise, we do not find summer crowds to be the problem, we are bothered by the heat.
