We usually are at WDW the week after the 4th, but this summer, we'll be there to see the big fireworks show! I'm very excited, but need some advice. We are staying at Boardwalk. We have 2 babies under 3, a 12 yr.old, a 16 yr old, and my sister and brother-in-law (the brother-in-law doesn't want to go to the parks at all-just golf). Any suggestions as far as fireworks? I want to see the best show, because I'm sure we'll never be back on the 4th. :confused3

Here's a copy of what I said on another thread:

"I've only been in the MK for the 4th, but I would probably also suggest Epcot. That park holds far more people comfortably, while the MK gets... Mind you, the fireworks from all around the park surrounding the castle are absolutely amazing. But the best fireworks I've ever seen were in the holiday tag to Illuminations. And the projected images on Spaceship Earth were incredible. I could see them from my room at Pop Century! But I don't think there is any way to go wrong here. (Well, except Animal Kingdom. ) But keep in mind that the rides will be too crowded to be "worth it" for most of the day. Just focus on enjoying the ambiance and the fireworks, and you'll have a great time!"

I would especially recommend Epcot since you are staying at Boardwalk. Just be sure it isn't going to be too loud and scary for the little ones. (It took me a long time to get over my first boom-booms. ) Also, do a search for similar threads and you should find some more advice.

Oh, and I just read that this year the MK will still show the Fantasy in the Sky July 4th special.

I read that people were able to see the MK fireworks, then get to Epcot in time for those. Is it possible to take the monorail from Ohanas, then bus to BW and still get there in time?

I would recommend the Epcot fireworks. They were awesome last year!!! They also projected images on Spaceship Earth. Easy to get out at the end of the evening also.

The brick picture is of the ring in the sidewalk after you exit the ride at the Haunted Mansion in MK.

Glad you enjoyed the pictures.
