July 4th fireworks? HS or EP?

We have been to WDW over July 4th before and our plan is to go to MK on the 3rd, and HS on the 4th.
In previous years they have had a spectacular July 4th fireworks celebration at Hollywood Studios and we have always gone there for the 4th.
..... but now there is the Frozen fireworks starting tomorrow.
I like Frozen, but am so over it! And really don't want to see Frozen fireworks on the 4th.
Can anyone tell me if they plan a typical USA July 4th fireworks show?? or are we going to end up seeing Frozen?? (if so, we may switch to EP)

I would recommend the fireworks in Epcot. Make sure you have a good view of the American pavilion for the finale.

Went to DHS last year on the 4th and they did traditional Independence Day show, however, Frozen summer didn't start until 7/5.

I would assume they will do 4th not Frozen but I haven't checked official calendar or show guides as we will be back at Epcot this year.

I vote Epcot too for the 4th. Saw them last year and they were amazing.

YEP, saw the same !!! And the band will be playing on stage that day as well !!!

Do you have confirmation of this? I have been searching but can't find it anywhere. I'm really hoping that this is correct. We are planning DHS on the 4th and my DD16 is a rock musician. She will flip over this.

Was going to do HS the fourth but hearing Epcot fireworks with illuminations is really cool we decided to do that. Especially the size of HS being so small compared to Epcot really changed our minds.

There are a bunch of links from Travel Agencies, and those are usually pretty good--- we also called Disney on our FP booking day, and confirmed with (2) CMs

Another vote for EPCOT on the 4th for fireworks. For the simple fact, it is a much larger park and easier to find a good spot to view the show from. Also, to me, Illuminations with an extra ending is the best show on property.

I'm not sure on that one this year. These pictures were taken at EPCOT earlier today. Now they could be getting ready for tomorrow of course. Though I have never seen them bring in fireworks barges the day before the 4th prior to today if that is what they are doing.

Epcot. Hands down. DHS does not handle the crowds well. We did it one year on the 4th. Never again. Epcot has a better show and has more going on for the 4th than just fireworks and a DJ.
