Touringplans best days calendar has the July 4th crowd level rated 8. Can you believe that it has almost the entire month of July at a crowd level 8? :confused3 We're going to the world from August 10 - 19 and they have the first 2 days of our trip rated 9. I figured it would be crowded - but worse than July 4th? What the heck?

I think you have to take those numbers with a grain of salt! Either way no doubt you can expect large crowds whether you go around the 4th or in early August. We were there last summer just after the 4th of July (I think like the 6th-11th or something) and it was indeed crowded. However Hurricane Dennis was threatening to move into Florida and it might have kept some folks from coming down that week....it was hard to tell! The parks were still very busy.

We used Tour Guide Mike for planning around the crowds and it worked great for us. I suggest buying something like that or coming up with a good touring plan for your family to avoid the crowds and then it is less of a worry!

You will have a great trip regardless! :thumbsup2

It is interesting as normally the Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home Resorts go into "Value" Season on July 5th, while the Moderate and Value Resorts remain in "Standard" Season until late in August.
