July 4th at Universal

Thinking of going.

Do they do fireworks, etc in each theme park?
Where are good vantage points?

We were there for July 4th two years ago and they had an awesome fireworks show that we watched from the pool of the Hard Rock Hotel, which only added to the effect since the shape of the hotel trapped the sound of the fireworks.

Two years ago they set off simultaneous fireworks at CityWalk, IOA, and US. Last year the fireworks were still very good, but not like the year before. They have fireworks nightly at the parks after July 4th.

Likewise, we were at USF for the Fourth of July 2 years ago (2001). The fireworks were incredible. We purchased reserved seating at CitiWalk. I believe it was $7.00 per person. It was lots of fun because the live band was in the reserved area and it was a real party atmosphere. They were even throwing Mardi Gras beads from the stage. My DS's loved it. From CityWalk you could see all three sets of fireworks going off. A very special evening for my very favorite holiday.

That sounds like fun! Where did you purchase tickets for the fireworks at City Walk? Did you have to purchase them in advance?

We purchased our tickets at the CityWalk Guest Relations window. I think we got them a day or two in advance. I don't remember exactly. Again, I don't know if it will be the same in
2003 but we sure did have a good time!

Do they only do fireworks on July 4th??? ill be going on July 18th, will there be fireworks then?

Last year the fireworks began on July 4th and were shown nightly after that through the summer.
