July 4th at California Grill

Back at the 180 day mark, I made dinner reservations at California Grill for July 4th. I subsequently read that there is usually a special event there on the 4th, that while a fabulous way to view the holiday fireworks, it's probably too expensive for my budget. It's now less than 2 months away and I haven't gotten a call from WDW dining telling me my reservation has been cancelled. Does anyone know if this event will be added, or are my reservations likely safe at this point in time?

I would not consider your reservations "safe" as there has not yet been an announcement, as there usually is, of special events for the 4th. I think you need to have a back up reservation just in case.

I have a back-up for the 4th and Cali Grill for the 3rd as I don't want to miss out on it altogether. I'd really like to cancel the ADR for the 3rd if I don't need it. Just seemed like they would have made the announcement for the 4th by now since it's less than 2 months away.
