I am going to WDW for July 2 thru 10
I heard MK gets very crowded on July 4
Any ideas what we should do on July 4?
:thumbsup2

It'll be crowded at the MK all week, but it'll probably close to capacity on the 4th. My suggestion: Watch the July 3rd fireworks over the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Polynesian Beach (they are usually the same as the July 4 show) and go to Epcot on the 4th.

we are usually in Disney over the 4th! We avoid the parks. We hang out at the pool, get a great dinner and go to DTD. You can see fireworks all over!

Can you get into the Poly on the 4th? A friend told me they tried that and they wouldnt let them in that night. Is there anywhere you can go to see them. We are staying OFF-Site so wont be at a Disney resort

We were there for July 4th in 2004. My advice is to just stay away from the parks that day. I've heard that Epcot isn't as crowded as MK-- but I think it would be a great day to do some shopping @ DTD or the monorail resorts. There are plenty of spots outside the parks where you can view the fireworks. Being in the MK that day was just awful!

We're always at WDW the week of the 4th. We NEVER go to any park on the 4th. We usually go to a character breakfast and last year we went to Winter Summerland after going to 1900 Park Fare. It was really fun. There were only 2 other families there when we got there. Then we usually hang out at the pool and go to DTD.

They probably won't let you park there, but it's right next to the TTC - just walk from there.

i went last year and it was crowded i was staying at the pop and could see all the fireworks from mgm and epcot. a cast member told me they did something special for epcot for the first time last year check out and see if they are doing it this year too

We went to MGM last year and the fireworks were wonderful. The park was busy but controllable. We had a wonderful time but Fantasmic was cancelled that night which cut our time short. Have Fun!!!

We went to WDW July 2-10 last year. On the 4th we went to Epcot. It really wasn't that bad. We waited in longer lines than the other day we went to Epcot, but not that much longer. Go, have a great time, if it gets to busy go back to your resort and lounge by the pool. :)
