July 3rd

I read on one post that MK does the July 4th fireworks on both the 3rd and the 4th. Is this true?

Yes, that is true. I was there last year and it was awesome!

Cool and I’m guessing then the crowds would be much lighter on the 3rd.

I think my plan now is to schedule the 3rd for MK, 4th for another park and then if weather doesn’t cooperate I can still get the fireworks in on the 4th.

We watched from the Poly, but when I was planning people suggested MK fireworks on the 3rd and then Epcot on the 4th.

I'm not sure I would use the word "much" along with lighter. They are a bit lighter, but the park is still packed, especially around the hub.

We were there 7/3 and 7/4 this past year. Watched the fireworks both nights from the Poly then I went to the MK after we put the kids to bed (both nights have some later hours).

I can’t prove this obviously, but I found 7/3 “felt” more crowded at the Poly and MK. I think some of it is that many people choose MK for 7/3 and Epcot for 7/4 since Epcot only does one night of fireworks.

I also think some of it, at least this past year, was 7/3 was a Monday and 7/4 was a Tuesday. I think with a lot of people having 7/3 off, it became a long weekend for many. With some people going back to work 7/5, 7/4 itself had less of a local draw.

Again, obviously just a generalization, but that’s how it ‘felt’ in my travels. Had a great time, we really enjoyed being there for the holiday!

I totally felt that too. We were staying CL so we just hung around the hotel/pool on the 4th, but the 3rd was pretty busy at MK.

Oh wow, we were! They did such a great job on the beach and the lounge. We had the best time!

Small world! Yes, we had a great time as well. Probably our most fun July 4th in awhile.

Very small world! We said every 4th we will be wishing we were spending it at Poly...We were totally spoiled, especially my kids lol.
