I have only been to EMH in the AM.
As of right now, I have the after dessert party scheduled for July 3rd.

We will probably RD the AM and use FPs, and hope to grab additional and then leave until the evening.
Our favs we "hope" to hit for the day:
BTMRR
Splash
Space
SDMT
PP
Pirates
HM
Pooh

I would think we could accomplish this, and then add in other rides, but not sure if I should count on EMH to assist.

Anyone with tips on what rides to save for EMH, and which to try to hit in the morning? OR, should we just hit the desserts and get out of the madness? :crowded:

We have the after party booked for July 3 also.

Part of how much we can get done will depend upon if closing time moves from 10:00 to midnight.

EMH until 2 am would be my dream!

We did the before dessert party last July 3 and were able to ride a little afterward but not that much. While a lot of people left right after the park closed an awful lot didn’t. That being said I can’t remember if it was enh that night or regular park hours. So I guess I am not being all that helpful lol.

See you there :wave2:

I think we have a few same day events "planned". I am thinking EMM at DHS July 1st as well. :)

Looks like last year park closed at 12am, EMH until 2.

How about the 8am open, anyone done that on the same day? I have never done a Holiday, can you tell? :bitelip: I don't know what to expect. My hope is we get there at RD and plan to get it all done prior to leaving for break, and if we can't I guess we add a day to our tickets and do MK again.

In 2017, I went over to MK about 45 mins after fireworks on 7/3. I don’t mind crowds, but around Casey’s on Main Street - as I was stuck in a sea of people heading one way (me in the opposite way) - it was the one time in my Disney travels where I had that “this is sort of crazy unsafe” feeling. But once I got through, it was fine.

EMHs that night were 11-1AM if I remember correctly. I kept waiting for crowds to die down during EMH, and they really never did. It was OK, just not great from a ‘getting things done’ perspective.

Still fun though, just not as productive as I had hoped it would be. Sometimes that can happen at MK.

Yeah, this is what I am afraid of, hence the reason for booking the after dessert party,,, give the sea of humanity time to flow out. I suppose we check waits, and if it's a bust we decide on another day.
Not a lot planned for rides, so I am hopeful an 8am open will get us thru our favs.

MK evening EMH is worth it if you stay the full 2 hours. But many lines, especially mountains, will seem to be long waits for the 1st hour. (Unless there was unseasonably hours of rain before the fireworks)

While July 4th week has been low crowds the past 2 years, MK will have a ton of people watching the special fireworks on the 3rd and 4th.

That late, Barnstormer and Dumbo are generally walk-ons. It’s probably better to start at BTMM and Splash.
7DMT will take a while to reduce its queue (since regular guests can enter the line until park close)
I’m not good a gauging Space since you can’t see the queue outside the ride.

Do we have other days in common?
July 5 epcot
July 7 ak
July 8 mk
Possibly AK the 7th, unless we decide to hit MK again, then we will do MK and attempt AK the 6th for EMH.

We still haven't decided our arrival/departure. Still wondering if we should start the 2nd so we can hang around the following week a bit incase DAH are offered. I am guessing they wont be offered the week of the 4th.
We are doing DAH MK Jan 17th, then the AK and DHS ones in March. I am afraid we will love, and want to take the rest of our group that isn't going until July to experience them...

Thanks for the tips. BTMR is probably one we would want to hit for sure.
I think since we are doing the after dessert party, that may help us a bit, once we are done, to find something to ride before we head to CR. The older kids can stick around until close, since we are so close, so that is nice.
