What is the best viewing area, in the park or outside? My husband and I watched from outside last year, near the Disney bus area. We'll be there again this year and weren't sure if we should go in the park or try viewing from the GF marina. Anyone have a preference?

I arrived too late one night (years ago) to see this show from inside the park.
So I decided to watch it from outside the gates.

It was OK, but not as good (to see and HEAR the music) as from INSIDE on the street.

Inside!! We've seen the 4th of July fireworks at MK 4 times from inside the park and they are fantastic - at times the fireworks surround you - you can't possibly get the full experience from outside the park.

Last year when we were there they simultaneously did the same show over the Seven Seas lagoon and the perimeter fireworks were all around the lagoon and MK. I was just curious if it was better somehow inside since we don't want to waste a day on our tickets to see the fireworks as we were planning on doing a waterpark that day.

We were planning a water park day on the 4th as well. We have early dinner reservations at Ohana, and were planning to watch the fireworks from the beach at Poly. Won't they have piped in music from the MK at Poly like the other fireworks shows? Anyone know? MK will likely be closed to new arrivals by evening (as I've heard it was last year) anyway.

I posted this somewhere else too. We were in MK on the 3rd last year when they did the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks. We were told by a parade manager to stand at the square right in the front of the park. It is the best viewing to see all three sets of fireworks. They launch over the castle, to the right and to the left of the park. IT WAS AMAZING!!! We stood facing the castle and got some great pics. I have never seen a production like this.

I would HIGHLY recommend being at the Magic Kingdom that day and doing this set of fireworks from inside on Main Street at the square.

I am curious about this also. We have early ressies at 1900 Park Fare for the 4th. I was wondering about staying at GF for fireworks.

If you are outside at the GF, you need to go down to the Boat Dock that faces MK to see the fireworks.

At the GF be prepared on that boat dock for the ones that get shot right out from the area directly on the other side of the dock. It scared the heck out of some of the kids. But it was a pretty good spot to watch- no music though.
