July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

Hi

Can you add us to the list of those going of this trip. Booked it 12 days ago and have just been booking everything else that goes with it. Return flights, insurance, hotels, etc, etc, etc, phew.

We are staying 2 nights in London traveling down on the train from Scotland, then 1 night in barcelona before flying home.

Only thing we dont have yet is passports but they are on the way we hope:eek:

This will be our first major trip for a couple of years, we are big Disney fans and have done Orlando, California and Paris but never DCL and it has been something that we have wanted to do for some time.

Gong on this Weir family cruise is

Me
DW
DS 11
DD 15

Was a bit concerned that at 15years old there may not be anyone for DD to make friends with but seems from this thread there are a number in that age group so that makes me feel a bit better.

Reading through all the things to do, dinner reservations, rotations, excursions, seating times etc has my head thumping still we will figure it out.

Reminds me of our first trip to WDW in that everything was new and confusing and of course exciting.

Cant wait:)

I've got my room but feel really guilty about it....:sad1: ......as i know some people have cruised with disney for years and never got a sniff of the pixie dust and we've been allocated a category 7! I am soooooo happy about it but do feel bad for other people, reckon its because it only sleeps 3? :woohoo:

Hi there
Brilliant to have you along - my girls are younger than yours although there are definitely more in their teens, some are in our FE Exchange. My eldest daughter is 10 so don't think she'll be in with your son as he will get into the ocean quest and not sure she will - at least I think thats right - this is our first so I am a complete newbie at this. Looking forward to it for sure.
See ya all soon!

Don't feel bad about being upgraded! We booked the GTY cat 12 too and were upgraded to a Cat 10 and I am a happy bunny. I consider myself to have been upgraded because of the hints and tips I have read on these threads that will save time and money - they are as good as any upgrade - thanks to all you dis-ers!!

Happy cruising in 4 and a bit short weeks - YIPEE

Very true, my hubbie thinks i'm slightly mad and says it ruins the surprises but i reckon its the opposite, think how many things you would have missed if it wasn't for everyone on here, with hints and tips x :grouphug:

Don't feel guilty, enjoy your pixie dust :)

What time are people planning on getting to docks? x

I think we will be getting there around 12:30 ish. I read a couple of Baltic reports saying not to bother getting there early as it was really crowded to start and then they just breezed on at around 2pm but I want to be there in food time just in case of traffic probs etc...

I found a free walking tour of London if anyone is interested. Looks like it is given by a company that has students complete the tour and they work on tips.

One bad review on tripadvisor, but many great reviews. They also have paid tours which do not appear to be very expensive.

The website (which also has an awesome map) states the tour is 2.5 hours and covers
• Hyde Park Corner
• Buckingham Palace
• The Changing of the Guard (most days)*
• Churchill’s War Cabinet Bunker
• The Houses of Parliament
• St. Martin-in-the-Fields
• Westminster Abbey
• Trafalgar Square
• Nelson’s Column
• Wellington Arch
• St. James’s Park
• 10 Downing St.
• Horseguards
• Whitehall
• Big Ben

Welcome to all the new cruisers :cheer2:

Have been MIA for a while as really busy at work, but have been reading the trippies from the Barcelona-Dover cruise and they're all looking great.

Went to the Disney Store in Bluewater on Friday evening and the Cast Member in there called Karen had just come off the Barcelona-Dover cruise .. had a fab time and paid a lot less than us of course! It was her 1st Disney cruise and she loved it .. another convert!! :woohoo:

Anyway, loads of work to do. We're getting to the port for around 10am and will queue in the Castaway Club line for the first time!:cool1: Got our documents late last week and got an upgrade to a Cat 9 to boot .. thank you DCL. :worship:

Enjoy the sunshine everyone (if you have any of course) .. I'm working from my garden today and it's glorious. :cool2::cool2:

Hi there,

This will be our first Disney Cruise, we had cruised before, but never in DCL. We can't wait.

We are from Southern California, near Los Angeles. We are very familiar with Disney as we have annual passes for Disneyland, we are very close, I can hear the fireworks every day in my home.

We are the Faya Family:

Me 37
DH 45
DD 4

I'm reading this board for all the details and planning...We will be three days in London and two days in Barcelona.

See ya soon....I'm counting the days!!!!!

Does anyone know if rotation has been confirmed yet? I know someone mentioned that if it just repeats as normal we'd be in same restaurant for Formal night and Pirate night.

Thanks x
