July 30, 2010 Mickey's Adventures England to Espana Cruise

Wow, nothing like saving money!

I'll just give it back to DCL between spa appointments, Shutters photos and drinks:laughing:   but at least I will not feel guilty doing so!:lmao: I had checked with my TA in advance to see if she would be able to transfer the cabin once I did it, and with her assurance I put in the request onboard and got a total cruise cost about $700 less, plus the $200 OBC . . . it was really great since I had transferred "dummy" reservations for the other two I have booked for 2010, but didn't have enough previous onboard reservations to do all three at the time, and since this one was the least expensive, I kept it full price -- but now I have the 10% off and OBC for all three, which is quite a savings.

I always just drop off a card with what I want early in the week, wait for the info, call and leave a message to charge the deposit, and get the completed reservation form delivered to my room -- couldn't be easier. I booked the 7 night Eastern I booked onboard for this August that way, too . . . I never make the appointment and wait around like I see so many people doing.

Thx.......I usually book onboard too, but I didn't this year......if you do it early in the week, there's usually not a wait......but thanks for the tip!:goodvibes That is really great, how well you did with this one!:)

Thank you for all the "Welcomes" from the group. I sailed on the July 18, 2007, Med Cruise. Delta was kind enough to lose my only suitcase, so I had the challenge of finding new clothes in every country. I found my piece of luggage myself in the Barcelona Airport parking garage storage room after following clues in Spanish from airport staff. At least all my belongings made it home.

I look forward to meeting new friends and going on a great adventure.

That's crazy! You are sure to have better luck this time. We had someone we knew on our Med cruise not have luggage make it to the ship, but it was found and sent to him in Palermo, I think.
