July 3 fireworks

My family of 5 currently have reservations at LTT at 5:50 on July 3. I'm wondering what would be our best plan after dinner to find a semi-decent spot for the fireworks. Even without the dinner reservations, we would have no interest at all in fighting the masses at the hub. Would we have better luck going behind the castle after leaving LTT? I had considered just cancelling the dinner reservations and viewing from somewhere outside the park, but we were wanting to stay for EMH and I'm thinking that by the time we would fight through the crowds that were leaving there would be little time left.

You'll want to watch the fireworks from inside the park. For seeing those special fireworks, I'd recommend being in the hub for the full experience. It'll be crowded but you could head to the hub 30 or so min before the show and get a fine spot.

My next picks would either be behind the castle in-between 7dmt and the carousel, or over closer to Big Thunder. That wooden walkway by BTMM is a good spot that doesn't get overly crowded

I'd make that closer to "about 60 min. before" on July 3.

Is there anything projection related or is it just a massive fireworks display? What do you miss out on in Fantasyland for example? Because that photo does not look appealing.

No projections for 7/3 and 7/4, just castle accent lighting/stars and perimeter fireworks.

Wow! That looks crazy! We are prepared for it to be crowded but I would honestly rather not see quite as well and be able to move around a little bit. Looks like we will probably want to head toward the back to find a spot and then be behind the crowds as (at least some) of the crowds will be clearing out after the fireworks are over.

Thank you that’s very helpful! We will be there 7/3 and if there aren’t projections then I think watching from outside the hub will be my choice!
