Congrats to pirate Helen!!

Thanks Joann;)

Ok

I've spent all day assembling some new shoe racks (4 )and I still do not have enough storage for my shoes. (i've ordered another 2)

How I would love to have a big walk in wardrobe like you have in America -:goodvibes

Well as I've been sorting I've had stuff all over the bedroom. hall, den etc
(I dont think Dave knew I had that many;) He said are all women like this?
Well I know my mam and my aunties are (must be gentetic)

I have about 30 pairs of boots and about 60 pairs of sandals / shoes -

Do you think I have a problem:lmao:

Dont get me started on the bags - I have nowhere to put them :headache: currently every door handle in my house has a bout 5 hung on them.

Just wondering where do you stand on this subject am I alone in my problem;)

Take care H

PS when I cruise I limit myself and bring 10 pairs of sandals / shoes - which is hard.

I have the same issue with shoes, Helen. But you can explain to Dave, that we need to match. Guys wear beige, brown, blue, black pants - 4 pairs of shoes. Women on the other hand have those colors plus every shade that color comes in, plus greens, reds, pinks........:confused3 . Of course, we have to have that many more shoes. Then there's closed toe, open toe, sandals, flip flops....................:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I met Sallie for lunch yesterday. She & Jim are fine as is Carley, who starts High school in a few weeks. We discussed 2010 and she hopes to join us. And of course we talked (and talked) about the Med. I swear, there isn't more than 2 days that go by and I don't think of something we saw, or one of you. Like Sallie said, no matter where else we go in this world, it will not be as special as our trip. We spoke about all of you and how you all were doing (were your ears ringing??)

Count the Phelan's in for 2010- although we have tuition now, so we will have to take it one year at time!! Had such a great time with Maryanne- as she said we talked and talked for over 2 and a half hours!! When I think about true magic- it was that cruise and the cyber strangers who became family! I hope we all really can do it again!!  :cutie: :cutie:

That's so cool that you met while we were still cruising last year! I guess today is the day we got off the ship? Am I right, it was quite a long trip! I waitlisted 2010 with my TA, so that I can get the cheapest price wherever "she" goes. I booked late July, which seems to work for my family and hopefully, the rest of us. It will be so cool if we can get another group of us to sail that year!! :woohoo:

Thanks Maryann,

I took great pleasure in showing Dave your post:lmao:

By the way - Dave owns 2 pairs of shoes (1 black, 1 brown), 1 pair of sandels and 3 pairs of trainers.

I have to tell you guys this

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: last time we went to wdw 2006 Dave bought his pair of sandels to wear. (normally he has his trainers all the time). Well after 3 or 4 days on the evening I was sitting out on our balcony at boardwalk with a glass of wine and a book. Well Dave comes out and asks if I (walking medicine cabinet) have any cream for a rash? I was concerned and asked where the rash was - Dave said it was his feet.:lmao: :lmao: When I looked his feet were quite pink but they had 2 white bands across them- i diagnoised it easily- sun burn:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Typical bloke
:rotfl:

Well I am off in days to California, I know Julie is there now, and our cruise for 15 nights is now just next Sunday, a Week to go.

I will try ot ask on ship next week re 2010 Summer plans but I bet they are tight lipped, or even give out incorrect information to fool people.

I still think its Baltic.

Well, I did ask and I think there's a few possibilities.......I'm pretty sure at this point, that it will be an "alternate itinerary".........I think Baltic or Med is a good possibility but maybe a different itinerary than last time.......see what you hear! I think I also heard something about a cross-Pacific trip to Hawaii but I can't remember who said that? (It was a good source.) The news should be coming out soon and I waitlisted late July for 2010.

Please say "Hi" to all our Med friends and do say "Hi" to Pikey. We reaquainted on my Wonder cruise and he did reference us "DISers."
I think he'd get a "kick" if a lot of us say "hello" (or "Ello") as he is a Brit as well!:thumbsup2 Remember Brit Chat???:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I also heard that Marco from the Wonder is the manager for Palo as CJ will be on vacation. Marco is an Italian, who I kidded that he was my "cousin" as he mentioned he is from Sicilia and Northern Italy. (My grandpop is also from Northern Italy.) So, tell him, his "cousin" said "Hi" who was on the Wonder a few weeks ago. Noone can replace CJ, but Marco was fantastic as well! I honestly had my BEST dinner ever in Palo on the Wonder a few weeks ago!

Have a great trip and let us know, how it's going! :goodvibes

Have MaryAnn, have you been back to school yet? Some of our fellow DISers started today! I'm trying to not go in until next week. I have a "boatload" of work to do, as I had my classroom moved this summer....yikes!:teacher:

That will be such fun! Can't wait to see you both and Jan & Howie again. Meet you at the piano bar for drinks before dinner!!!!

Can I come? Who else is in???:goodvibes :cool1: :woohoo:

me too please

Wouldn't a nice glass of wine and a cheese and fruit plate just hit the spot about now?:dance3: . I can't wait until we are all together again enjoying those fun times before dinner, after dinner, during dinner---all day long!

Helen, just tell Dave not to worry about the shoes. You always look nice and you match and that is what is all about! Yes, it does come from your mum! When my parents got married I always remember my dad telling the story of my mother having 30 pair of shoes and at that time that was unheard of, so I know I don't take it from any stranger! It is in my blood too!:rotfl: Now tell me, what man needs a pair of lime green and pink shoes? Well, maybe don't tell me, because we don't really want to know!

Lynnise's friends are going on what she calls a "Booze and shoes cruise". One friend packs a suitcase full of shoes and one pack a suitcase full of booze. Garry told her maybe we should join her!:woohoo:

It took me 12 minutes Saturday night to book Palo for brunch, dinner and high tea and I also got our shore excursions. Thank goodness the computers were working okay. We all know how those things can go. I had to jump between our reservation and Jan & Howie's, but it worked fine.

Have fun at school everyone! I wish I could say I missed it, but i don't... just some of my co-workers, but we do lunch often!:thumbsup2

Have a good week!

Dave and I are having disney withdrawl symptons - we need a disney fix ;)

Well its nearly getting to the time when I can book my flights and DVC portion of our holiday. I have been planning it like a military operation:lmao:

We are hoping (if all works to plan and we get the reservations we want ) to do this.

July 19th Fly to Orlando - (stay @ BWV) 5 nights till 24th

24th July fly to NY - stay for 6 nights till 30th

30th July fly back to WDW (stay @ SSR) until cruise

we are going to have 1 final night @ WDW after the cruise

fly home 9th August arrive 10th

There are still quite a few uncertainities but these are out of our control

We are waiting for DVC to announce their conceirge collection for 2009 - hopefully when they do they will still have the Loews Regency hotel NY as we would like to book this for our NY part.

Oh well got to go and get some work done

Take care H x

Have a good week!

Helen,

Maybe we can meet Sun. July 26th in NYC for lunch/dinner. We arrive home from Tortola on Sat. and Tom goes back to work on Monday. If not, I can always come into the city to meet you during the week.

How exciting! Can't wait!!

That would be great:goodvibes

I just wish I could book the flights and hotels - Once there booked I will really believe its happening.

How far out can you book Jetblue / domestic flights? -That is one area I'm kinda nervous about.

I dont want to get everything else booked to find later on there is no flights to NYC and back on the days I need -

Wow, I'm starting to look forward to your cruise and I'm not even going!:thumbsup2 Great idea, Lynise.......

Hi Guys

Hope you are all well.

Dave and I are having a really tough day -we had to have Sally put to sleep. I know shes in a better place , but we are finding it hard. She had a good long life 15 + yrs and we are very thankful for that. She was a really special dog who helped us through some tough times.

please keep us in your prayers

Oh Helen & Dave,

We are so very sorry. :grouphug: She most certainly is in a better place. I can just see it now, my dogs Candy, Princess, Spotty & Tinkerbell taking care of Sally and showing her all the sunny spots of grass to sleep in, getting together a frisbee team.......

After all, it makes perfect sense that our dogs should be friends in heaven, because aren't we friends down here.

Sorry Helen & Dave, we're thinking of you tonight.........

Helen,

You can book Jet blue domestically 6 months out. Others can be done about 330 days out.

Give my best to Dave. We're still thinking of you both and Sally. On a lighter note, we just laughed yesterday again about our "very nice red wine!"
