July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

Hi

I am so shocked to hear this awful news.

I have her address will PM you.

Her family is in both Dave and My prayers

x

Hey all......I'm assuming that Helen has given you all the address, I also have it. Thx again to Maryann who alerted me to this sadness. I agree that Harole Ann's enthusiasm was part of why our group was so special. Her special cruise friends, Jan & Howie were also sweet. I'm thinking of her now and hoping she's doing ok. I was able to send her something last night so hopefully, that will slightly ease her sadness.:grouphug:

I posted this on the Baltic thread as well.

For anyone interested, this is from Harole Ann. It's the link to Garry Harper's obituary. Sorry to be maudlin, but I thought you might enjoy reading about his life. He was such a nice man and very much in love with Harole Ann (a real sweetie).

Hi Guys

Hope you are all ok. I can't believe its nearly Easter. Its only 109 days till Dave and I get to the states.:thumbsup2

Just wondering about our reunion on the Sunday. Julie mentioned about meeting for a bite to eat- anyone fancy lunch before the show or dinner?

I am so looking forward to seeing you all - I can't beleive it will have been 2 yrs since our med cruise.

take care

My suggestions would be a nice Italian place like Serafina or the famous John's if we meet before the show . . . and either that or a real tourist blow-out like Tavern on the Green if we have dinner afterwards. I recently took someone from out of town to Tavern and had not been for quite some time -- the atmosphere at night is lovely and there is the possibility of a horse and carriage ride afterwards through the park. However, I will say that it is quite expensive and the quality fine although not fabulous.

Helen should decide!!!!!

Helen, here are some websites to look at:

Me, too! It's Helen's trip and Julie's the expert. We'll have fun no matter where we go. It will be great just to see eachother again.

Hi all,

Thank you for the honour of choosing -The only problem I have is Dave LOL he does not eat cheese, tomoato, pizza or pasta. :confused3

Looking at the options the serafina does a plain steak which he could have.

I must say I love the idea of carriage ride around central park

got to get on with my marking

Take care x

Well, Dave can certainly get a lot of non-tomato offerings at Tavern -- and it is a beautiful setting, and the horses and carriages are right outside afterwards (about $40, including tip, for a 30 minute ride for up to 4 people). On the other hand, I have had the steak at Serafina and it is terrific! We don't have to decide right away, Helen, just keep these options in mind and we will make a final decision and announcement in June or so . . .

Thanks for taking care of this for us Julie. Yes, don't worry at all about it Helen. One of the great things about NY is that there is something for everyone. We won't starve that's for sure!!!!! Whatever you decide is fine by us.

:wave2: Everyone!

Just got back from a spring break trip with April's School and let me tell you! I have a newfound respect for Disney. I finally got my wish and was able to revist the Sistene Chapel. Well, the guards were not allowing ANY pictures inside. When we went in 2007, they were "allowing" photos as long as no flash was used and silence ensued. This time, double the people inside and absolutely NO photos were "supposed" to be allowed. They even had guards attemping walking around to catch anyone taking shots.

 you know yours truly - such a rebel I am   I managed to snap off about 25 shots before I had to put away my camera. So bad!

Anyway, with this trip, I now have a newfound respect for Disney and the way they handled their excursions. Kudos to Disney. Having said that, next year if EF Tours & the school decide to go to Paris, I'm so there!!!!:rotfl:

Sounds great..........lucky you!:goodvibes

Hey guys

Laura that sounds like a good trip :thumbsup2

Just checking in-I'm counting down the days to this holiday.

I made my Adr's last weekend for the first week I have in July and I am trying really hard to loose some weight:lmao:

Hi Guys

Hope you are all ok. Just checking in.

I need some more NY advice I have just found out that Green day will be playin at Madison Square Gardens on July 27th. Is this venue easy to get too? The tickets are not yet on sale but I was wondering if anyone could help me order some - the concert is the day after our meet so I would be able to pick them up from you then -
I would send you the money in the post before hand. let me know anyhow

Take care
