We hadn't had anything for a year now, but this seems to be timed to the start of Gordon Browns premiership from Tony Blair, I think to try to influence a change in policy and pull our troops out.

A Doctor is on the BBC now and he offered his help at the airport and they said there wasn't any need. So hopefully no one hurt, looks bad, but only bricks and buildings.

They seem to think that the change from Blair to Brown is the reason for this nonsense. Hopefully this is the end of it.

We'll keep praying for everyone's safety over here.

This is so funny.....to lighten the mood....

My DD is making a salad for her tea, she was cutting up an onion, and put on her Snorkel and goggles as she was crying so much!!!!!!

Now that is really using her head!!! I can just picture it!!
Tell her that makes me proud of our younger generation!!!

Must remember to put an old towel over my back car seats I would not want mud everywhere, they were to have some kind of street (field) party now.

I did this a few times Andrew - actually I cut up two huge, black garbage bags and spread them out in the back seat and trunk. I also brought towels and bags. I was prepared (after playing soccer in the pouring rain). Whatever works.

Just read on the "All in one place- Med Excursion thread" that if you are planning on visiting the beach in Sardinia, you might want to bring insect repellent. Someone did say that they were glad they did. A tidbit from one post said that Sardinians don't fish because of the volume of mosquitoes on the water. I wonder if we'll be affected? We're doing the Archepelago excursion. Better bring it just in case.

Yes, same here. Not sure if I mentioned on my reply regarding fish extender. Only 1 adult grab bag here (hopefully will get something after I return from WDW).

We were just talking about walking 1/2 marathons and yesterday my reminder for the Boston Marathon, Jimmy Fund Walk, ame in the mail. Maybe it's a sign that I should get in shape and walk again this year.

On the 7 day Carribbeen DH & I walked almost every morning. I'm not too sure about this time, though. I think we'll be worn out from the excursion. That plus the heat????? But if we do, it will be fun to do as a group.

A Jeep on fire has been driven at the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport, police have confirmed.
Eyewitnesses have described a Jeep Cherokee being driven at speed towards the building with flames coming out from underneath.

They have also described seeing two Aisan men, one of whom was on fire, who had been in the car.

The airport has been evacuated and all flights suspended following the incident.
