Hey everyone - what did I miss?

Anyone on? I think I'm about 25 pages behind since yesterday!

morning all...just completed the morning Ketchup.

Andrew...how quiet is your house this morning with your little one away ?

Morning,
Rather quite at the moment, no x-box going no discussion on getting dressed.

Rain here now!!!! Hope hes not too wet!!!

Yes it's been raining off and on over here as well. The boys school has their annual school fete today 12:00 - 4pm. The main fundraiser of the year...I hope they have contingency plans for indoors as we've been told it will take place WHATEVER the weather !!!!!

See you later I'm off to take Ethan swimming now

I sent 4kittymagic a pm. Think he/she will get it?:confused3
I received it... still cannot send a pm... sent $8 for the two lanyards plus reels and it looks like it went through ok....

Where do we pick them up??

Thanks again

Jeff

Ok so I'm going with buying the stuff now (well on Monday actually when I can get into a store around the corner from the office) and not removing any of the tags etc so if they go in the sale I can rebuy them at the lower price and return the full price ones ;) ;)

Hey Isabel - I just did that today. I made the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE mistake of taking my DD's back to Marshall's to return my sherbert colored suitcases ( :sad1: ) well one of them anyway. So I returned and got back $225.00 dollars. What I got in return as I was making a last minute lap was a pair of Aerosoles heels that I just bought 12 days ago at $30. They were at another Marshalls for $22. A savings of $8 before taxes.

So what do oldest DD and I discuss? Buying this and returning the original still in their boxes - I do the same things - don't cut off the tags, take out of boxes until the morning of wearing (except for jeans - these go immediately into the washer). Anyway, so after we make sure that we have everything we want - I go and pay. As the cashier is ringing up the shoes - she has to open and check the sizes. Younger DD chimes up VERY LOUDLY -

"Why are you buying another pair - you already have those?"

I looked at her and said - "no I don't."

To which she replies again - yes you do - you bought them when I was with you at the other store for $30.

Then older DD chimes up with - "You must be mistaken April - you're wrong."

This of course starts up WWIII and meanwhile I'm ready to wring her little scrawny neck! This is me - :furious: Thinking - just wait until I get out to the car.

Morale of the story: Don't take Dudley Do-right with you when exchanging and or hedging your purchases.

(For those that don't know who Dudley Do-Right is - he is a cartoon character of the Royal Mounty Police who is a do-gooder who cannot live with injustice sometimes to the peril of those around him.

Oh And the worst part of the story? Those savings I got from returning items? DD's made me buy them these "Oh look mom - these will go perfect for the cruise and if we share the clothes we can get quadruple wear out of them."

:headache: :headache:

Its hard to argue with that. Oh and here's another theory that only a mom of similar siblings can relate too.

If an item cost $40 dollars but 2 people can get use out of them - its actually like paying only $20 for each as opposed to $40 for each. Does this make sense to anyone else? Or have I just been up too many late nights in a row?
Back to savings - the original $225 I got back? I spent $221. :sad2:

Second morale of the story - don't take girls shopping with you. You get nothing.

pirate: pirate: MAJOR PIRATE 11,500 !!!!pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Well, if it wasn't the wiley, rascally, Admiral Andrew! CONGRATS!

You Too - Jeanne - hope all goes well for you.

 :woohoo: :yay:

OK - everyone has gone to sleep so off I go to attempt it too.

DD has an all day church function/beach clean up which I hope can be applied to mandatory Chrisitian service hours. Anyway, this means that I get a day off from her and her 14-yo 'tude!

After today's fiasco (see previous post about returning items and rebuying) I was either going to wring her neck or I was going to go stark raving mad! :dance3:

Good morning everyone -

I will be on and off all day - today doing the usual (cleaning up/running around :scared: )

Sandra, Fish extender - we will not be participating. I am still hoping to make a door sign (even thought at first I had decided not to)

Andrew - major difference when one person is not home. I definitely notice.

The Ultimate Rome Experience - I would rather have a shorter lunch also and do more sightseeing (who knows when we will be back). This should be a good thing.

I think I am in the minority here. I don't like shopping and the part I hate most is returning items. I also try not to pick up anything for someone at home because I know I will get stuck returning/exchanging it.

Have fun today!

We had a nice day yesterday and it looks like another nice one today (after experiencing two hot/humid days w/bad thunderstorms and loss of power spread out).

Enjoy your day and hope the weather cooperates for your event.

Ok, everyone, I'm off to the dog show. A 3 day event (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). I probably won't be checking in. If someone is trying to reach me, just pm me and I will probably see it.

Three days? Wow - have fun and enjoy it? Is this indoors/outdoors?

Yes and when the one missing is a hurricaine, you do miss the noise!

Thats the beauty of my private tours we can cut the lunch down and get going.
