John's is really great . . . do go there but be prepared for a wait if you go during normal eating times. Spring Awakening, as I just told Sallie, is wonderful -- it's the best thing I've seen on B'way in some time and my 15 year old and I have seen it four times (and have tickets to see it again!) -- but it is for older teens and adults only, I would say. It's about the consequences of adult repression and ignorance on young people's lives, and there is language and nudity. It is based on a play by a German in the late 1800's and it's surprising how relevant the themes are. The music is modern rock/pop/punk.
Thx, we have a quick trip to NYC on July 14 - 16 so hopefully we can see that show on Sunday? I'll have to check it out!

They have two shows on Sundays -- matinee and evening. You might want to check availability now . . . they do sell student rush tickets the day of (valid student ID and cash sales only) and standing room tickets also the day of (for anyone) but that's no guarantee. If you can handle the subject matter, I think you will be wowed. We have tickets to go back July 11 and sit on the stage (which we have done twice b4) -- if you go you will see what I mean.

WHoa - another 28 pages to get caught up on - that took forever!!

Hi all, quickly popping in to say I got some more payments for the lanyards.

Benspock, I got your payment!
Scottishwee, I got your payment!

I love dancing - but Dave hates it - The only time we have danced was at our wedding.:rolleyes1
My husband and I rarely dance either - our wedding, a few other weddings - that's about it.

I usually stay anonymous!!:confused3
Another anonymouse :earboy2: here

Thx for the info, we're staying until Monday morning, but we're meeting some DISfriends from 2005 so depending on what they want to do, this show might be a good idea (my youngest is 17, so I don't think that will be a problem.) They loved Rent, is it that kind of show?:confused3

Yes, I love Rent too -- saw it with the original cast and have tickets to see it in early Sept. with Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal reprising their original roles. Some people say Spring Awakening is the "new" Rent, but that's over-simplifying. Certainly if people like Rent they won't be shocked by SA, but to give you an idea, my almost 13 year old has gone to see Rent but I haven't let her see SA (the nudity in the fairly realistic love making scenes is a little too much for her age, I think). With your group and a 17 year old as the youngest, you will love it.

another good tip.
Have you heard anything about the Vatican city tour? We have booked a private tour for Rome and they've asked if we want this tour. Any input would be great.
Thanks

I've been considering going Private I think we're scheduled right now for VIP Vatican HIghlights or something like that. But just read that the excursions we're on allows us access after the shops are closed. Wonder if I can prevail on someone to grab me something small like a magnet that says Vatican or something like that. HHHMMMM......time to e-mail Father Tim again. Forgot all about him.

Hi Mary Jo. I see you're going on a cruise. Of course, I do not have to limit myself to ships to travel the world.

Hmmmmmmmm, not a bad thought, however, if it requires for me to be creative, there will be issues!!!:rotfl:

No, I'm near Philadelphia.....in Bucks County across from Trenton, NJ (near New Hope)

JoAnn,

We were in Bucks County to finalize the adoption of our son. He's 15 now so it was quite awhile ago, but I've never met anyone from there before. WE used Love The Children Adoption Agency which is located in Bucks County. They work exclusively with Korea, or at least did back then. I'm not sure now.

That's why you "borrow" someone else's page and just stick magnets on the back. Or - bring along one of those sheet protecters and just insert daily or on special occassions FULL Size sheets that you've preprinted and brought with you!

I saw a wonderful image that I am considering borrowing but won't list here because of uncertain copyrighted issues. It doesn't say anything about being copyrighted so I have to wrestle with it for a while. In the meantime, my arguement is that it isn't for selling purposes - just for ID'ing purposes! I have long all day trip scheduled. Now I'm starting to see the wisdom of being on deck 2! I must admit it was really nice on the EB PC in '05 - we got on late - were on deck 1 cat 10 and it was great making a right from coming in and there was our room! :thumbsup2

The puppy has now left the building and I am exhausted.

I keep quoting ANNA and forgetting to tell her congrats on the new tag! I  that one. But I can certainly relate - when my sister leaves with Baby Destructo - we all sigh with relief and fall into the couch!

Her pet name for my nephew - not my doing! :rotfl:

Trust me, I know the feeling. I forget to reply, congratulate and thank someone here and there. I don't want anyone to feel left out.

Thanks.
