DW just checked our reservation online and we have a stateroom # instead of just Cat 6 GTY. We are in 5648. :cool1:
It's on deck 5 in the stern where the curve starts on the starboard side. Looks like possibly a little bigger balcony as a result. Anybody ever stayed there?

Interesting - the reservation system has been showing rapidly changing availability all day. For example - category 9 availability has vanished, but now category 8 is available. Category 12 vanished, and is now back. Looks like they are starting the process of room assignments for our cruise, obviously doing the lower category GTY first.

I have to look into this.........your casino idea looks smart....I think my problem is that one of my DDs is only 17 so I don't think she can book this excursion?:sad2:

I recall reading on one of the forums that under 18 can go on the tour and there are other things to see (and shopping) in the vicinity for those who choose not to go into the casino.

Oh, these fish extender thingies,

As I've stated too many times to count, I am the least creative person, so the thought of making one of these things makes me:scared: . The icing on the cake is that I have to find cabin numbers and deliver them. Let's put it this way, I bought a GPS device for my car, because I get lost going around the block.:dance3: I think I'm going to skip this one.

Maryann

Check out ebay....toy and shoe holders under disney or pooh or Mickey mouse

Nope, no cabin number yet. Still GTY

Our scheduled arrival time is 7:45am in Barcelona........so with luggage pick-up, customs & Disney transfers, we will just head over and hopefully not wait too long........now I'm considering whether or not we should do our Barcelona excursion or just go to the adult pool and chill!:cloud9:

Did you? I'm still looking

No, no room # yet. I was so excited when I saw that DisneySpirit had an assigned room, but not for us yet.

Several times today the Cat 12 rooms were not available so things are moving along. Only 40 more days so we'll know something soon. I think the cruise documents come about 30 days before we leave. We'll have to have room numbers by then.

THere are only 2 of us so I'm not really expecting an upgrade but you never know.:confused3 :confused3

We arrive in Barcelona late in the afternoon on Friday and only plan to meet for drinks at the Grand Marina and then maybe the Magic Fountain. WE do not have Palo reservations for Tea or Brunch so we plan to be at the port very early to be at the beginning of the line. Hoping to get on and book Palo right away. Our Palo dinner reservations are for 6 pm on our Rome day so we would really like to change it if possible but we will go then if we can't change. I can't imagine a Disney Cruise without Palo.

THen we will relax by the pool until we can get into our room (wherever that is) and take a nap.

Just a heads up on wine ordering for the Magic they are doing the wines in the DCL Med booklet sent recently just before 90 days, the wines on the DCL website are for the normal cruises and NOT for the Med and cannot be ordered.

Seems they are sourcing locally with French and Italian wines, many reports that the fish is better on the Med cruises at least two on each menu.

Pity I do not eat Fish!!!! But good for thoose who do.

Dissers report if you have problems with your menu, ask the head server and he will help, in 2006 I had a great server from India Pugesh, he arranged for Curry for our table one night, it wasnt on the menu and it was good!
Thx for the tips!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

This looks like a good way to go. THANKS!!:yay:

I believe the excel sheet is up to date with DISers & cabin numbers that we have so far. You can at least estimate the number of cabins.
http://www.maryjomellado.com/MedMagicCruisingList.xls

You can also see where we are in relation to each other. These are just the ones we have so far.

That might have something to do with it, had a stange day today, There was a 'Murder' last night near my place of work so I couldnt park up in our spaces, and drove partly back home. The police had it sealed most of the day. Not nice.
Yikes!!

Looks like Joann's been busy with the toilet paper:goodvibes
HEY! It looks like I need a new Captain Name.....any ideas?? Ground rules........no references to nighttime, no references to TP...........now, come on, brainstorm away!!!

I can't get my computer to open it, what kind of file is that?

My computer thought it was power point, but then it didn't open it properly.

Most of the wines on the Premium wine list...only one I can speak for,, are European....French, Spanish and Italian.....hmmm, makes sense. Altho Ati brought us a Napa, Calilf wine one night and we sent him back for a French wine. It was an excellent wine. We are from Ca and can do Napa any time. But European....not so. I found the food to be very good and I am a very picky eater. They did alot of Med food...lamb, chicken, lots of duck, veal, beef (go for the filet mignon,,,,mmmmmm), at least one or two fish selections...lobster, scallops, shrimp, orange roughy, tilapia...I personally do not like shellfish...but that's my problem. I am a recently vegeterian turned mild carnivore, and I was able to find something every night. The meals on the excursions made the Disney food pale...they were THAT spectacular. Of course, there were at least 2 bottles of vino at each table for 4. You could ask for refills....no charge! One evening I was still so full from our yummy lunch that I just wasn't hungry for supper. Our server was so worried...but he suggested a couple things that were not on the menu and one appealed to me. Voila...yummy. If nothing looks appealing, just ask the server for some help. They will bend over backwards to help you.
I am still reveling in the glory of our cruise. I have never had such a wonderful experience.
Word of warning, If you want your VAT taxes returned, ask each shopkeeper for a slip for the VAT and by the end of the trip have customs stamp it in BCN and either receive your refund then or have the customs stamp and then send it in when you get home. I didn't get the customs stamp and lost $550. SH*t.
Read ALL the instructions carefully. They give them to you on the last day when you are so bummed about going home, that I at least didn't read them carefully.
Otherwise, Have a wonderful time!
Mari

I have heard alot of talk about people cancelling excursions after reviews here and on other boards.

Has anybody heard of a good reason for me to cancel:
Capri, Sorrento for families
Lerici Castle
Maddalena Archipelgo
VIP Pisa
Little train - in both locations

I read where people said it's just as easy and cheaper to do the little train on your own, so I think I will cancel that.

I also read about rough seas both to capri and also on the maddalena trip - that would be enough to make me cancel both of those.

Any other thoughts/things you have heard?

Thanks,

Susy
