OK my last post was 3-1/2 hours ago and no one has posted in all that time.

Yoo Hoo anybody out there?

I guess everyone else out there has a life but me. I'm just checking out the boards while I do laundry.

Some one asked if anyone was packing a book, I always pack one because I'm not a good sleeper so I do our laundry on the ship at 3am and sit by myself in the laundry room and read. There are always machines available. I can't imagine why!!

Well I suppose I could talk/write to myself all night but that might be considered fluff and even I couldn't do this for 32 Posts.

So I'll say goodnight to those in North America and Good Morning to those in Great Britain and then I'll go to bed.

Sandra

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, my dd, Kelly, graduated from high school. It was a really nice graduation followed by a dinner at a restaurant at the Redondo Beach Marina with her dad & his family (even though we're divorced, his family & I are close).

I'll have a picture to post tomorrow.

Today, unfortunately, I was laid low with a huge headache, and just got up. I guess I should share... I hate hate hate headaches. I still have one, but at least I can open my eyes now. Hopefully, it won't happen again tomorrow because I have to count @ church (I'm on a counting team).

Okay, off to

Sorry me mattey:confused3 me thinks me missed it b4:surfweb: too much talk of the Rolls for the loo, So show no hard feelings would ye like a brew:woohoo:

I sort out the page of one, the post of ten, with the pirate: name!

YO YO YO HO and a bottle of Rum me matey!:thumbsup2

Excellent pirate speak. :worship:

Fountains dry!!!!!! Oh no!!!!! I've been practicing getting in and out of my bathtub at record speed while dressing and undressing.... I have it down to 30 seconds.... this cant be true... say it isnt so.. I need the fountains to cool the flashes.... does anyone have the phone nukmber of the fountain man??????I MUST speak to him ASAP!!!!! :upsidedow

I know, I know.... I need to re-think my rolling amounts too.... will you help me make up the test on the TP info, I'm afraid it will be too easy being I'm olny a first grade teacher, I need some high school advice :rotfl2:
You know, I've been thinking, Sallie - maybe this TP thing isn't such a bad idea after all. You know, there's uh 'breathability' in paper, and if you did make up an outfit from TP you would be well aired out... However, I'm getting a mental image of you wearing such garb, and then jumping into the Trevi Fountain... and, well, we all know what happens to TP in water, right?

I'll be sure to have my camera at the ready. :lmao:

One more thing....

Mary Jo, saw somewhere that DD's high school graduation was today?
If so then hope you all have great time. If not, then hope you all have great time at the appropriate moment.:dance3:
Thank you. It was so nice. And now both my babies (shh, don't tell them I call them babies) are out of high school!

Nice pics.......I'm alittle jealous about the DL pics!!
Thank you for the comments on the pics. It helps having an AP, though I haven't had a chance to go in awhile.

Thx........the TP will come later!! So, here I am making new friends, traveling to Europe and the Med for the first time and NOW I'LL BE KNOWN AS THE TP GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1:  :guilty: :sad2:

NO NO NO JoAnn - you are the :tink: TP Queen remember! Your "our" royalty on this ship. Everyone wants to be your friend! :worship: ::yes::

We have bestowed (hence the :tink:) our own line of pixiedust: and graced you with our royal title.

Besides, doesn't every little girl want to grow up and be a Queen? :rotfl2:

(ok - shh - there are certain stories I don't want my kids knowing. that dad can hack is one of them. Jumping off a dam 200 ft into the water was another.)

Carrie - someday when that story comes out - you'll catch the look between your kids that looks something like this: :rolleyes1 or catch a comment that sounds like - "so THAT'S where I get it from!" :lmao:

MORE ON THE NEW DISS MEETS IN THE MED:-

Then they did their own water ballet

IMG_2911.jpg

OOOPPPSSSS! :scared1: I see one of them pulled a JANET and had a wardrobe malfunction! :lmao:

You think that was intentional? :rotfl2:

Totally FREE!!!!!!!!!:dance3:
Congratulations!

better to be the tp girl than the no tp girl:eek:
ewwwwww.... lol

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXCEPT for the part about me........very funny list..........one change.........I thought we should wear thw glow necklaces at the Sailaway Party (since it's at night?);)
I corrected the list. Thank you. :)

I called and had my daughter's passport expidited. I had to keep calling and calling, as I was cut off agout 50 times. Persistance is required.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1386401

Thank you for this info. I'm going to try & contact them this week instead of waiting for the last minute.

Great list - thanks for compiling it.

One thing - i was trying to catch up on the lime green ribbon thing - and I saw these: http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1205621&langId=-1&categoryId=11875

They are mickey t-shirts that are lime-green. (or other colors). I was going to order them for the whole family. I thought that if I wait and send out the back design, we could each make our own iron-ons to put on them. I thought we might take the other logo, and instead of putting it on the front, we could center it on the top of the mickey shape. Of course, that is only if we wanted to use this shirt as our base. Right now they are on sale for 5.99.

For our friends in the UK, if it is too much for shipping, or the sale wont apply to you, we could probably work out something where some of us order them for you and deliver on the first day of the cruise.
Great idea!

DS (Felica), DM (Diann), & me (Lynnise)
Lynnise - beautiful family. Looking forward to meeting you.

Just wondering if anyone has made their t-shirt yet? I liked Sandra's list to buy extra shirts so when she puts it on backwards, yes that would also be me---that is why I will put Garry in charge of that job. :rotfl2:
I haven't even started yet. I'm waiting for the tags to go on the back.

Congratulations! pirate:

Myself, dh Gaspare and dd Maria at graduation 6/15.
You can add w/the other pictures - thank you :)

WOW! Anna - you must be so proud. Wonderful picture. Does the gold collar signify anything? Or is that the school's color? I've never seen a gold one - so can I assume honors?

At our schools they have the kind that goes over the robe and ends in a triangle. Not sure what the proper name is.

Congrats!

GOOD MORNING ALL

TO ALL DADS

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Have a good night Andrew.
Thanks
Hi Jimmy,
It's Maryann from Malverne. My DH had a full head of hair BEFORE I married him and look at him now!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Not that I had anything to do with it, of course...........

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Maryann
Yes think of us dads today. Hair loss!!

What's crazier than someone actually checking out a link to a TP Museum.......
Someone actually creating the site!!!

There is hope for us Sallie. (Actually, why didn't WE think of it? I can see it now - THE DIS GUIDE TO TP)

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Maryann
THE DIS GUIDE TO TP:confused3

NO MERCY.........SALLIE...................;)
Poor sallie
Ok To those in the USA looks like Andrew wants me to explain about page 3 and the sun newspaper.

Well, the Sun is not known to be a serious read - very tabloid.
It is also famous or rather infamous for page 3. On page 3 you will find a partially nude, semi clad female. A bikini with out the top half so to speak.

:rolleyes1
Well put! I would just say a lady flash's on page 3.Europe beach style.

I'm all alone.

33 posts to the nextpirate:

let's see 33 posts X 40 seconds = 22 minutes of fluff

HMMMMM

WHat's a wannabe pirate to do?
You get a big award for resisting it!
You are an honory, Cabin boy (lass)

Dave has always wanted to go to Alaska -

It has never really appealed to me , but if Disney ever decided to do it - it would be the perfect compromise for us.;)

Oh Helen - You have got to do it. DH, DFIL, DMIL & I did it backin July 2000. We were celebrating DFIL's and my "retirement." I LOVED IT! It was the most peaceful, relaxing and quiet cruise that I recall. We did that other line - :ssst: (NCL) and they were good. There were children onboard but I didn't really notice them after the 2nd day. We did the inside passage and it was wonderful. We got perfectly beautiful weather. Saw some icebergs 'calving' (falling) and even got to see lots of yummy rugged lumbermen! I even got to go ice-climbing on an iceberg with spike shoes and all. :thumbsup2 Its usually a pretty smooth sailing and DH, who gets seasick - didn't! He even went salmon fishing on a "small" boat. We want to do it again. The pool was even superheated. I didn't partake but some hard-core cruisers did. ;)

I remember our first time at WDW (1998) - Dave and I actually fell asleep on the rocking chairs out side of the hall of presidents. (our 4th parkday in a row) When we woke up some Japanese tourists were taking photos os us :scared1:

Oh Helen! Your making me laugh so hard - I'm crying. I can just picture you and DH, mouth open wide, perhaps drooling, (where's that TP when you need it) and then waking up to see some pesky camera in your face! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Havent you gone to bed yet?

Havent you gone to bed yet?

:wave2: Andrew! :wave2:

Nope - got up late today as I hit the "4th day wall" from DL 3 days early. Well, ok - its either that or I'm just getting old and I will NEVER EVER admit that is stopping me from visiting the ::MickeyMo . You will have to drag me over hot coals, kicking, screaming and pull my nails out one by one before I admit in public that I'm too old to hang! :rotfl:

I won't tell. I go back far enough so I remember when "hacker" was a compliment rather than a criminal activity. The BBS's I was involved in were very much like these boards - much more virtual communities than the (more common) pirate software sites. Curiously enough, the Internet wiped most of them out which was a loss - because BBS systems, being dial in, tended to attract mostly local people. So the virtual communities often became real communities because people could and did meet up. With the Internet, people were so spread apart that the ability to meet in person was lost.

This board is in a very real way a return to the old BBS days - because the online community is expected to turn into a real one. It changes the dynamic that is found on many online forums, because knowing you're going to be meeting and "living" with the people on the board tends to eliminate the "flaming" that happens elsewhere - there is no expectation of anonymity, so we behave as a real community.
Dan, I found this to be pretty insightful. I think you're on to something there.

I have reedited the front page post 10 and 12 with all of the information I have had, now post 10 went over its limits on photos and also size so I had to re-edit across the following post 12.

Its not perfect I spent over an hour on it, but I am pushing the max space allowed.

If you have posted pictures I have cut these in to your Disname information, If I haven't been able to do this they should be on post 12, with mine!!!!!
Thanks, Andrew. It looks great.

Good morning...
I am sure some of you are a good source of information regarding Hotels in Barcelona. If you can, please give your opinions of where to stay 2 nights pre-cruise. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children.)
Preferences? 1.Very clean, 2.things to do within walking distance, like Las Ramblas etc.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help! Have a wonderful weekend.
Eeyorelvr10 & I are both staying at the hotel called Las Ramblas, if you'd like to look at another option: http://www.barcelonaramblas.com/

Congratulations to Maria. :) Great picture!

Helen,

I am going to have to post your photo next to the computer because at this point my mind sees Bon Jovi and I think "oh that's what Helen looks like.":)

Sandra
I'm so glad you posted this. The first few times I saw Helen's posts I thought that was her in her avatar. :lmao: .... Helen I know better now. :goodvibes

I just wondered - what books are you taking with you?

I am not sure on this - I am getting the 7th Harry Potter and I will try and keep it for the cruise, but I might be tempted to read beforehand ;)
We're definitely taking the Harry Potter book with us. The issue will be who will read it first, my ds, Nick, or me. I'll probably have to get two different bookmarks because we'll both be reading it. I'm also taking Angels & Demons by Dan Brown - haven't read it yet. Nick is reading some Steven King serious, so he'll probably take that, too. Kelly doesn't much like to read books, so she'll probably take a soduko magazine to play. I also like to take crossword puzzle books to pass the time. I also have the audio book Watchers that I will probably download to my IPOD, since that is one of my all-time favorite books (Dean Koontz). I'll also download the DIS podcasts to listen to.

Dave has always wanted to go to Alaska -

It has never really appealed to me , but if Disney ever decided to do it - it would be the perfect compromise for us.;)
That is the next cruise the kids & I are interested in taking - maybe '08 or or '09 --- we'll see.

Besides - I'm 4 pages back - came online to find out I was 18 pages behind! And I'm way behind Kyla again! So I got to do my part and ketcup to all you talkers! :lmao:

Right now I'm just holding my own. Life keeps getting in the way. I wonder if there is a pause button on life?

Morning from here, thank you for that, I would have preferred more pictures to break up the text but I am working to all the 'max' limits on posting.

I thought if people wish to print off its better that way anyway, but to try and cut and paste in the pictures to the Dsi names information so you can put two and two together was the best idea. As we are so close.
