Helen,

I am going to have to post your photo next to the computer because at this point my mind sees Bon Jovi and I think "oh that's what Helen looks like.":)

I didn't know who he was until I started on this board and now his face is looking at me every day with the name Helen next to it.

So if I don't recognize you at the DisMeet I apologize in advance.

Maybe you should put his picture on your name tag:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Can't wait to meet you in person.

Sandra

42 Days and counting

:goodvibes please dont worry - I have an absolute terrible memory so I will probably be the one at the dismeet getting all the names muddled up anyway;)

I never realized there was so much literature and research about Toilet Paper. I must apologize that I have always taken it very much for granted.
THat is of course until I realize too late that the roll is empty and there isn't a replacement available within reach!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Crow calls for limit on loo paper

The shows include a short set from Sheryl Crow and film clips
Singer Sheryl Crow has said a ban on using too much toilet paper should be introduced to help the environment.
Crow has suggested using "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

The 45-year-old, who made the comments on her website, has just toured the US on a biodiesel-powered bus to raise awareness about climate change.

She teamed up with environmental activist Laurie David for the shows.

The pair targeted 11 university campuses to persuade students to help combat the world's environmental problems.

I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting

Sheryl Crow
"I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming," Crow wrote.

"Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating.

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting."

David (left) and Crow have finished the Stop Global Warming College Tour
The tour ended on Sunday at the George Washington University in Washington DC, where Crow performed with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Carole King.

Laurie David's husband, Seinfeld creator Larry David, also appeared.

Crow has also commented on her website about how she thinks paper napkins "represent the height of wastefulness".

She has designed a clothing line with what she calls a "dining sleeve".

The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another "dining sleeve" after the diner has used it to wipe his or her mouth.

Even the celebs are getting in on the toilet roll debate -(Although I'm not sure about her dining sleeve idea):rolleyes1

Thanks for the offer of the hat;)

Luckily I dont need it, just got back from hairdressers and I'm pleased.

I have booked a cut & Colour on the Monday before the cruise - However I'm not sure what colour I want (no not dis lime green)? Last year I had red and brown which I really liked. Hmmm I'm going to have to do some thinking about this:rolleyes1
Glad its good, lime green is a bad idea. Consult Nicky Clarke, now OBE.
Thanks for all your hard work ;)
It was hard, I lost it a few times and had to go to my WORDPRO back up.
I was off the DIS for 24 hours and it has taken 2 hours to catch up!!!!

It's been quite a hoot to read through these posts. You are a crazy bunch!!

I hope everyone has a great day, It's sunny and warm here finally:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there.

Sandra

You can add w/the other pictures - thank you :)

I will see if I can add. I am near the max.

I just wondered - what books are you taking with you?

I am not sure on this - I am getting the 7th Harry Potter and I will try and keep it for the cruise, but I might be tempted to read beforehand ;)

This is a picture pirated from the DCL Picture of the Day thread.

It's another view of the new DCL ship from water level. It was originally found on the website of Meyer werft, the company building the new ships.

Wont have time for books except guide books 7 ports of call and the three sea days but be total ''REST''.

One of my favourite parts of the cruise is lying either near the adult pool or on deck 7 with a good book and my ipod.

I admire you for doing all your excursions - I could never do it - physically and mentally I'd be exhausted.

If I still am going on DCL at that time, I suspect the new ships will take on the current routes of 3/4 Bahamas and 7 day Carribean and the Magic and Wonder will go elsewhere, if so the new ships will be expensive everyone will want to go on them, 'they' are the reason to cruise not the ports, so the Magic and Wonder, after a refit will go either West coast and Med and be cheaper.

So I would go with the exisiting ships to the ports outside the Carribean.

This one will be exhausting, like 7 nights at WDW, the repo in 2008, will be far more relaxing with over 50% sea days.

But I have to see it so the three sea days are valuable, my reason not to book the following ten day one.

Dave has always wanted to go to Alaska -

It has never really appealed to me , but if Disney ever decided to do it - it would be the perfect compromise for us.;)

I remember our first time at WDW (1998) - Dave and I actually fell asleep on the rocking chairs out side of the hall of presidents. (our 4th parkday in a row) When we woke up some Japanese tourists were taking photos os us :scared1:

I guess they will not in the short term as other ships are far better designed for it, with inside facilities as it can be cold.

I would like to do it myself but on another ship.

Now DCL could do DL Tokyo to DL Hong Kong????? that would be good.
