I shot this on Sunday. No, don't worry, I didn't actually do this. I just watched and cheered them on.

As to how I ended up in that situation, I'm afraid it is not for Internet publication. You can ask me on the cruise if you're interested.

I used to be nortoriuos or doing this sort of thing when I was in High School! Ahhh.... those were fun times!

That might have something to do with it, had a stange day today, There was a 'Murder' last night near my place of work so I couldnt park up in our spaces, and drove partly back home. The police had it sealed most of the day. Not nice.

Just a heads up on wine ordering for the Magic they are doing the wines in the DCL Med booklet sent recently just before 90 days, the wines on the DCL website are for the normal cruises and NOT for the Med and cannot be ordered.

Seems they are sourcing locally with French and Italian wines, many reports that the fish is better on the Med cruises at least two on each menu.

Pity I do not eat Fish!!!! But good for thoose who do.

Dissers report if you have problems with your menu, ask the head server and he will help, in 2006 I had a great server from India Pugesh, he arranged for Curry for our table one night, it wasnt on the menu and it was good!

Hi Dan...to be honest I've never had chicken shnitzle so I don't really know.

Hey maybe if I bring some Matzo meal on the trip we can get one of the chefs to cook up both turkey and chicken and then we could do a taste comparrison !!!

Much though I like Shnitzle, I'd hardly take it over whatever feasts of culinary magic the chefs are serving up (albeit late from what I'm reading on trip reports). Besides, this is something I need to discuss with mom (who is the traditional chef in the family). She has used Matzo meal of course, but most of the year uses bread crumbs I think - I must consult with her.

... we've been through this before ... maybe thrice too now that I'm thinking about it again. Since we're not on the other board - I'll mention briefly that last nite I had some really bad news - the family member we thought was in remission with thier cancer has just told us the symptoms are begun again - so we are back in limbo. And this weighs heavily on out travel planning. We cancelled all vacation time this year to spend with this family member - and this sort of impacts consideration for the MED. I left it OFF that thread cuz several family members are gonna be on that sailing and I'd rather not post anything there. But this is here - and I assume would be OK - I'm a trusting nut ya know.

I know it's a deal to sail now with current pricing... and I got enough unused FF miles to make the cost of flying tolerable if I were ready to let the miles go for an unrestricted pair or trio of tickets ... well... maybe not cuz I'd be looking at a repo. Well ... I gotta go to Disneyland now. We gotta check outta the hotel soon.

I could have made this a PM - but I didn't. Please observe a respectful quiet on this in public (over there). Cheers to ya all... I gotta go now.

It's a cross between bread crumbs and flour mainly used in traditional jewish cooking. It can be used in savoury and sweet cooking.

I wound the server up as he was from India and also had worked in London and he got our table a curry with all the trimmings, Verandah man from the other thread also had him on second sitting he was very good.

So, I've been watching the reservation site for our cruise, and it's changing pretty quickly.

Category 12 just appeared again, then vanished. For a few minutes there were no category 11's. Either the DCL reservation system is running at it's usual reliable self, or things are down to the wire on availability.

I was just checking my log in/log out on the Diss it shows be logging in at 6.35pm, but I have broekn off twice since then, to pick up my DD from Guides for one.

So I show as 'on' but I havent been all the time.

So, I've been watching the reservation site for our cruise, and it's changing pretty quickly.

Category 12 just appeared again, then vanished. For a few minutes there were no category 11's. Either the DCL reservation system is running at it's usual reliable self, or things are down to the wire on availability.

Cat 12 is a ''discount tool' DCL uses, it has only limited Cat 12's, but its the cheapest rooms, so when they get near to a cruise, they discount these only, hoping people on higher CAT's will stay in their's.

If they offered a discount on all available CATS we would all ask for a refund on the lower price.

It follows there would be reasonable upgrades from Cat 12, but a lottery, one some posts elsewhere Dissers posted the servers were unhappy covering less tables than usual due to not being at capacity, I think I read they usually cover 24 people the average was 17, so tips would be down.

On the Good News Front - DD started summer school today! Back to peace and quiet for me! Except for my stinky dogs. They have gas. And they refuse to be put outside. Why can't I be like my parents and just kick the dogs outside? It only about 78 degrees and their coats aren't as heavy for them being huskies. I think I got spoiled rotten dogs.
