You will never guess what!!​

The tag fairy showed up at my house tonight with a Bahama Mama and told me to sit and rest and she would pack for me!! Now, it is all done and I am well rested!!

Do you think she has time to come to my house?

Good morning all!!

Well, I'm as packed as I ever will be. If it's not in there now, it's not coming with us. DH is working a half day today so I'll drive him to the train and pick him up. Then, off we go. I'll check in until about 1:00pm or so then the next time I'll speak with you is in Barcelona!!!

Could a year and a half since we booked this cruise have gone so quickly????

Hi everyone! We are here in Barcelona, and I am on the hotel computer, since we do not have internet in the room and I cannot find a wireless connection.

It took 19 hours to get here, and other than the 3-hour delay in Philadelphia it was very smooth. Barcelona could not have been any easier, and we did not have any trouble with pickpockets or anything like that.

We are in a tiny room with 3 beds, but after a rest we'll get out and walk around. I am feeling the lack of sleep now. lol

Oh, and it's very warm and humid here right now.

We're already dreaming of another Disney cruise (possibly even the Transatlantic back to Florida)! Failing that I would have loved the Panama Canal trip but I believe that's sold out already!

The travel trade press over here in the UK featured the Disney Magic at Barcelona with speculation that it may sail from Southampton, England for the summer of 2009! That would be brilliant for us with just a 4 hour drive away and a chance for others to visit London as a gateway rather than Barcelona.

Very interesting info. I have read also all the speculation regarding the Orlando Sentinel article - re: considering other home ports.

Actually, what you are doing is great for preventing jet lag! I have 3 more days to get ready and go!

Today, I'm making a list........
Workout
Buy gift bag (I just thought of the "perfect" items!)
Finish the laundry
Cancel newspapers
Continue cleaning...........

We did make our pedicure and salon appointments for Friday morning. I am planning on being fully packed (the whole family) Thursday night!

Okay, first two items completed........

Now is the worst part....... waiting to pick up DH from the train at 2PM. I've packed everything that can be packed,..... tidied up around (again)....., keep watching the clock that won't move.....

Why am I so darn organized???? If I wasn't, I'd be running around like a chicken without a head and the time would pass reallllly fast! Maybe I'll do some more before I go. Nah, I'm not THAT bored!

OK Full on panic mode. I felt a momentary slip of sanity coming on so I had to jump on here real quick to get a reality check.

Good news: DD's TB test came out negative as we all suspected but still you know. DH is out running getting a new pair of tennis shoes which I insisted he needed for the last 2 months - and he said no! I hate being right!

ANyway, Panic mode as my suitcase is packed but my paperwork is scattered and the house looks like Dorothy's tornado hit.

OK - deep breath here - limo is supposed to be here in 2 1/2 hrs and the other passengers in 2 - will I be done? Stay tuned.

You'll see some panic in my typing - but should be good for some laughs if you follow along!

OH Yeah! I LOVE my iphone although I the problems it gave me trying to upload it it almost feels like childbirth!!!!!!

Thank you all for your good wishes. We tried cross packing as much as we could. Hopefully we, and our luggage will arrive safely and on time!

MJ, so glad you got there and everything is well. That time difference is going to be a killer. I got up about 5AM this morning so hopefully I'll be exhausted later and will sleep a little on the plane. My problem is I need a good 7 hrs a night. If I lose sleep it's like my body keeps track of it and until I make it up, I feel it. DH has no problem getting 5 hrs a night. Then he can power nap and I rarely do. That combined with being a light sleeper........

Hey, I'd rather be groggy in Barcelona than wide awake on Long Island!

An alarm? AN ALARM? Now why didn't I think of that? I could have had so many more pirates! Drats... the lost opportunities

Seriously, I don't know what it is. The excitement of the trip? Still being scrambled from my all-night Harry Potter reading? For whatever reason, I woke up at 4:30 and just couldn't get to sleep right away. And while the pirate is nice, I'd never trade one for sleep. In fact, my ability to sleep virtually anywhere even in noise and chaos, is well deserved (you'll see on the cruise).

hey everyone. i finally made it back to the boards. i'm in London, weather has been unbelievely great,hardly rained. Already got my Harry Potter fix and been to Covent Gardens, Stone Henge, Salisbury, and took the hop on, hop off bus around town. Tommorrow is Tower of London and Westminister Abbey, then off to the airport to catch my 6pm flight to Barcelona. Can't believe our time in London is almost up. See you in Barcelona!
