Wow - i was a little surprised. I flipped over to cnn.com to check up on some news. They are reporting the AI winner on the front page. All season long, they didn't announce who went home until the next day.

Lanyard Status 5/22:
Still taking orders and payments.
I have the lanyard design. Once I get people's payments, I place the order.
DCL called and said they can't give permission in writing for our design, but its a case of "don't ask, don't tell", "we never had this conversation", no hassles as long as we are not selling and its for personal use.

ORDER INFORMATION:
Since this is a two color lanyard, the cost will be $2.43 per lanyard
Each lanyard comes with a badge holder which is $0.20 each
So I need a total of $2.63 for each lanyard
Add $1 for each reel. I'm thinking of ordering the black reel to go with the black lanyard. Sound Ok with everyone?????
So the total for a lanyard with reel is $3.63.

Timeline: Would like to get the lanyard order in before June 15th latest. Which means I need everyone's payment prior. Anyone else who wants to order, please post and let me know. Payment info is below.

Payment: I can take paypal payments (basic account, not the premier account) at kylarice at worldnet.att.net. If you don't have paypal, I will take a check. For the UK people who don't have paypal, just pay when you pick up your lanyards, under the table please. Please pm me for my address to send the checks to. Please include your DIS forum name with any payment, so I know who you are.
Update: Ok, on the paypal payment, some of you are sending me are OK and some are using their premier account. I have a personal account (basic) and while it does allow me to accept payments from folks with premier accounts it charges me a fee to accept plus it limits the number of payments I can accept to a total of 5 for the year. So, if you are unsure, go ahead and try sending me a payment via paypal and if it kicks back as denied, then you know that you have a premier account and I just denied it. Then you will need to send me a check. Pm me and I will give you my address.

I posted this on the previous page, but in case you haven't seen. Some people were confused on how things attach together. Hopefully, this will clear it up:

Here is the lanyard with the badge holder (except ours will be vertical)

Here is the lanyard with badge reel (except ours will come as two pieces: a lanyard with J hook (as shown in the above pic). Each badge reels has a belt clip in back. The J hook hooks on the belt clip of the badge reel. See the little tab on the badge reel? That will snap onto the top of the badge holder. The badge holder will hold your Key to the World card. The badge reel is not heavy duty. It is a light string and is made to hold the weight of your badge holder.

It was so good - it will draw a plan out and you can even see your journey

The journey time would take 26 mins Walk to metro @ Catalunya (take line 3) and get off 5 stops later @ Espanya

Seemingly its a 10 min walk from 4cats to Catalunya and 5 mins when we get off.

Its another suggestion anyhow - I am just so pleased I found this website!

Want to give a big welcome to Julie - we also wanted to do a beach excursion on our own in Sardegna. I kept reading how unreliable taxis were in picking people back up and was afraid to do this. After some searching, a Gabriel on a Sardegna website linked me to a cab/bus/limo company. I had emailed them and never received a reply. For now we are booked for the La Cinta beach. Looking forward to some reports if anyone attempted to do a beach here on their own and take it from there.

Hi Sallie, so glad to hear you sounding better. I understand how difficult it's been for you and your family. Our cats were Betty and Wilma, as in the Flinstones (sp). They were sisters. Wilma died of congestive heart failure when she was 7 and we took Betty to a cardiologist every year for the next 9 years to make sure we were on top of it. My husband thought I was crazy. Betty moped around for a while. Wilma was definitely the more outgoing of the two. But Betty actually became less reclusive when Wilma was gone. She was a wonderful companion for the rest of her life.

It's exciting to think about new kittens and naming them. I can't wait to see the pictures.

My son is getting married in the Presbyterian church in Florida. We've attended the Presbyterian Church many times.

We hope to do some sightseeing over the weekend. My DH would like to go to Arlington National cemetery. He's never been there.

One of our friends was killed in the Pentagon on 9/11 and he was buried at Arlington. It is the most reverant (sp?) and holy and patriotic of places. The site where he was buried (you don't get to pick...everyone is assigned in the section currently being filled) looked right at the hole in the Pentagon that was made by the plane. From where I was standing, I could have thown a rock and hit the Pentagon. It was so sad.

The Eternal Flame (where John F Kennedy and his children) are buried...is really cool. Also the Tomb of the Unknown Solider is also awesome. I would suggest this visit...if you have time.

These look terrific -- I will order 4 and will send you payment via Paypal -- I just had a question: what is the purpose of the badge reel? I am trying to decide whether to get it and then realized I knew nothing about it!

You will just love Old Towne Hilton. It is on King Street. Make sure you take a few minutes to walk DOWN King Street to the waterfront....it is such a cool walk and will not take too long.

Also, The Woodrow Wilson Bridge (part of the Capital Beltway that connects MD and VA at Alexandria) has been under contruction for several years. Traffic can just be terrible.....so whenever you travel around this part of town, please allow extra time.
