July 27 - 7 Day Eastern Cruise

Hi Karen glad your aboard. Sorry I can't help you out with the table guess, my husband is coming too. Hope you find a table mate. What cabin are you in? Are you flying or driving? Is this your first cruise? Talk again soon.

Hi, Karen I'm traveling with my 2 granddaughters (8 and 5) and I'd love to share a table with you at Palo-unless, of course, Marco and Laura from Italy bring a male friend, then you're on your own. ;) Check out our rendezvous location on Sat. Linda

GREAT! Grandmalinda, we'll do dinner! I'm glad I won't have to eat alone, I hear Palo is wonderful. If any other singles want to join us let us know.

I'm flying to Orlando a few days early, staying at WDW for a few days then checking in the airport Hyatt the night before the cruise.

I will look for you all at the pool at 3:00.

I don't know where my room is yet, it's an outside room, (forget the catagory), they don't give out room assignments on that catagory until check in. It's the "move em up we need more room" catagory, I guess. It will more than likely be deck 7 or so.

GrandmaLinda - shame on you! :p Here's a nice mom who wants to have a quiet dinner with ADULT conversation and all you can think about is men! hee hee!!!! Marco & Laura, PLEASE bring her a male friend...no wait, make that 2, my MIL needs one also! LOL Cruella, I'll ditch hubby or my MIL and come talk and have dinner with you! I need to pick your brain anyway... my 11yo dd, Devin, is hitting puberty and I need to know what I'm in for! Welcome to the cruise; we all look forward to meeting y'all! I wonder if I can leave MY guys at home and just cruise with Devin....hmmmm....

Welcome aboard, Cruella --- My son is going on the cruise with us and he's 15-1/2. How old is your teenage daughter? Also, my oldest niece that will be joining us as well (Beachgirls) is 15. She'll turn 16 in August after we return from the cruise. They'll both be in Common Grounds and hanging out with all the other teens most of the trip, I would imagine. The last time we cruised my son was 13 and I think we saw him at dinner 1 time and then he never returned to our room for bed until around 1 am or so. He had an absolute blast. By the way, he's very well behaved so you don't have to worry about that. LOL!

HI it's momma beachgirl. Hopefully you and I can do some things together - my hubby is staying behind at home as well. It'll be nice to have another mom to do things with on the boat. AS my sister (momma paintballbuster) said, my oldest daughter is Tiffini and she's 15 1/2 (she'd probably go ahead and just say 16 if you asked - ha, ha ")! Glad to have you aboard on the ship. Looking forward to meeting you!!! How old is your daughter? Are you doing any excursions? I know I'm going to have a massage on the ship - just trying to figure out which one! I'm going to pamper myself and that way hubby isn't here to say NO!! But he wouldn't tell me know anyway!

Anyway talk to you soon - look forward to meeting with you.

Tyla

Thanks for the warm welcome. My daughter just turned 15, this will be her second cruise. Ditto on that, on her first cruise she made friends and after the first day she was the busiest person on the ship. She loves Disney so much and she's been dreaming about a Disney cruise forever, so this trip is much anticipated around our house.

First to the Beach club For a Week,Then We will be there to, my wife, Ds 9, and Dd 5. We sailed on the 4 day last July, and the kids are counting down the days now! Can't wait for those chocalate chip cookies.

Welcome aboard BUZZ2 - look forward to meeting you. It looks like we're going to have a great turnout for our meeting at 3:00 p.m. near the Goofy pool stage! They should be alot of us with kids so the kids will have an awesome time!

So are you saying that there are chocolate chip cookies on board that are just out of this world? I want to know where to get them - I just love cookies!!!!

OK, here's the deal! After reading this board I called DCL to upgrade and get the American Express package. I got the last catagory 7 room (someone cancelled), while we were talking my old room was booked by someone else and BAM, THE SHIP WAS SOLD OUT! right in front of my eyes (or ears). The ship was closed out on the computer for the first time. The docs are being printed up for all of us as I type (he had to call down to docs to record my change).

With my AmEx package I can pre-reserve Palo from home, which I will for GrandmaLinda and I. Is there anyone else here that would like to be included in our dinner at Palo? Post here and let me know. GrandmaLinda, tell me your thoughts on the day, I'm thinking (Tues or Weds) when we're past three days in. I hear the Palo high tea and brunch are awesome too.

This is WAY cool the way the little group here is growing. I'm going to try to get to the Pluto pool a little earlier. I'm getting excited!

Welcome, buzz2!!! Glad to have y'all aboard! Our group is growing by leaps and bounces :bounce: LOL! I just skimmed the messages - do you have kids? If so, what are their ages? Can't wait to meet everyone! Counting down the minutes now....sigh.... where's that darn fairy godmother when you need her to speed things up?!

The chocolate chip cookies are all over or you can just order them from service, along with a host of other things that are great! My son will be 9 just before the cruise, and daughter is 5. We have the American Expess package as well and hope to use it,well the $250 ship board credit will come in handy! We will be on deck 7
cat. 5.

Thanks for the info - I know there will be a lot of great things on this trip and I'm sure I'll have come back home and will be afraid to step on the scales!!! NOt that I'm skinny to begin with, just naturally healthy but I'm going to certainly have a great time on my first cruise.

Seems like you get a lot of extras with the American Express package.

OKay - where are you all from (Zoomommy; CruellaDuVille; Buzz2) - The paintballbusters and us "beachgirls" are from Oklahoma (Shawnee, and Norman area)

Welcome aboard Buzz2:Pinkbounc We are so excited about meeting everyone soon. There are some really great families here and I am just sure we will all hit it off. We have a DD 8 and DS 4.
Where are you from? Do you have a picture to share of your family? Love to have one if you do.:bounce:

THANKS FOR JOINING THE FAMILY:p

Okay Beachgirls and Paintballbusters, YOU know where we're from! Right above you in Kansas!! GO WILDCATS!!!!:p
Well, MOST of us anyway, one of my sisters is coming from the San Francisco area!!!

:smooth: Not to worry, ZooMommy, Cruella and I WILL have adult conversation :smooth: :smooth: ! Thanks sooooo much Cruella for offering to make the reservations. Whatever evening you choose at Palo will be just fine with me. Yes, you definitely want to reserve High Tea, too. Can I join you? I don't think there's an extra charge for it but I hear it is not to be missed. Pick whatever day there, too. Wait till my grandkids hear I'm having dinner with Cruella! We will also be at the Hyatt the night before. We made all the reservations through a TA but don't have a flight schedule yet. Unfortunately, we are reserved in category 12, which is probably next to the crew's quarters. Then again.......
Linda

Yeah - I remember now! Isn't that where Toto lives? ha, ha :) just kidding - well we only have about 43 days - I'm getting so excited!!!!

Let's see I've got a list of what I'm taking - then I change that list - I still have a list of things to buy before I go - that changes daily as well!!!! TOOO much to do - plus working???(*&(& - I think I need to take vacation in order to get ready for my vacation ha, ha, ha. My mom, daughters and I are actually leaving on the 24th of July because we're driving - my mom's doctor thinks it better for her to drive. Plus we're going to stop in Mississippi so she can do some geaneology (however you spell that word). Anyway I'm looking forward to the drive - I just love to drive - Hey - thanks for helping get us a hotel room the night before! I really appreciate it.
