July 27, 2013 - Fantasy - Eastern Caribbean

First: There are some links to info about FEs on the first post of this thread.

Some bring 1 gift per person, while some bring 1 per stateroom. It would depend on the gift.

Please ask any questions you may have. We love answering questions.

Some people buy gifts to give; some people are crafty and make the gifts. There is not set $$$amount to spend. There are some links on the first post about the FE. These might be helpful. :confused3

I think of the FE exchange sort of like an office "Secret Santa" exchange; except that you know who it is from.

As Mickeyhugger said, it is just a one time give....either to each individual, just kids, or one per state room. The one per state room...just make sure it is something the whole family can share (picture frame, scrapbook, magnets, etc).

Man oh man... I went and bought a sport coat and some pants for this and other "formal" occasions lst week.

Now I know why I never did that before. :scared1:

I cant wait to shop for my next cruise. I have been peaking already at what is out there. I want to talk my wife into the PC. She is not a big sea day gal.

Happy Canada Day!
(In case you didn't know, it is the equivalent of July 4th up here today.)
Wow, Canada doesn't have a 4th of July? Since today is the equivalent, do you go July 4th, July 1st, July 2nd, July 5th? Or is it July 1st/4th, 2nd, 3rd, 5th?

Regardless, Happy Canada Day!

I think I have figured out a meeting place. Outside the Walt Disney Theatre balcony on Deck 4. This will be the same time, Sunday at 2:00.

Thanks,
Dbarker

Thanks so much!!!

So we have 38 Staterooms and 123 people.

I love the Deck Plan as well.

Now just to confirm when (day/time) & where we are meeting face to face and we DISers are all set.

Thanks for doing all this! See ya soon!!!

Total we have 37 Staterooms and 120 people.

I am so sorry to have to say that we have had to cancel our booking on this cruise. We have had a situation occur that has caused us to have to cancel the trip, so we will therefore not be able to participate in the fish extender. We are sad not to be going:sad2:and wish all of you a wonderful and special cruise!:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear that you will not be joining us.

I don't know if there will be any port upgrades available, but there may be last minute cabin changes. Who will be the focal point for these changes if they effect the FE list? On one of my prior cruises, someone had a white board on their door with from/to cabin numbers. On another, someone had an updated FE list in their FE next to their door.

If anyone is planning on any changes, they are supposed to let me know.

Deborah, may I suggest that you keep a white board or sheet of paper outside your cabin noting all last minute changes and crucial info? This way we can all be sure to check it at the end of day 1 to capture all cabin changes. Plus it will give us a chance to admire your door magnets and decorations. And people who boarded late and miss the cruise meet can also get any vital information by checking it. What do you think?

I will have a sheet of paper in my FE pouch for any Candy Exchangers room change.

That's a great idea.
A few times in the past the FE gifts did not look like it they were supposed to be left at the room # on the sheet.
Another time someone left a post it note next to their old room# to say what their new "upgraded at port" number was.

This is a good idea. I will have a "white board" kind of thing on my door. Everyone is responsible for their own updates.

My door is on deck 6 to the right at the midship stairs / elevator (closer to the stairs).

If anyone does have a last minute change, they will need to leave me a note. Sometimes little "angels" mess with the white boards that are attached on the doors.
