We have received our cruise papers and are excited to be joining all of you. I have never posted before so this is an experiment in progress. There is 4 in our family: myself (44) my DH (47) and 2 DD (13 & 11). This is our 2nd Disney cruise our 1st was a 5 day in 2011. That wasn't long enough so we are back!

I have a few questions about the FE gifts:
90+ gifts is a lot to pack when traveling across country how does everyone do it?
Do you only bring 1 gift per person for the entire cruise?

I was going to start packing this past weekend; but, DH said "NO". I'm probably going to start this weekend.

Some bring 1 gift per person, while some bring 1 per stateroom. It would depend on the gift.

Please ask any questions you may have. We love answering questions.

Hi Everyone... My DD (9) and I will be on the July 27 cruise. This will be our first Disney cruise. The FE idea looks really neat...would love to participate. We don't know what cabin we will be in yet. Currently have a GTY inside stateroom.

Also, is this group planning a meeting or perhaps meetings? Sorry if that was already discussed, I may have overlooked it in the many posts.

Do you have your stateroom number yet?

I would like to participate in the candy exchange. Would it be possible for the giver to include the ingredients when the candies are delivered? I don't want to give anyone extra work, so if it's not possible, I understand. The only reason I ask is because my three kids are allergic to peanuts (the candy actually has to have peanuts in it; it's not an airborne allergy). I'm not asking anyone to change the candies they want to bring because they may contain peanuts. That's fine; I just want to make sure I don't give those candies to my kids. I'll keep those for myself.

I am guessing that the ingredients listing on the package itself is what you need. I have seen mention of something like "processed in a plant that makes peanut products."

It must be very hard deling with food allergies like peanuts. Even the chocolate chips I use to make cookies have that sort of warning even though they do not contain pranuts!

Welcome to the Fatasy 7-27 Cruise

I plan to bring 2 FE gifts per person.
I know that's a lot and don't expect anyone else to do that. I can normally travel for a week with just a carry on. To do this cruise I will also have 1 checked bag for my FE, door magnets, pirate gear for at least 2 of us and the list is growing.

What is it now, 36 or 37 days?

In thinking about our cruise meet, I was wondering if I should bring some sticky nametags for everyone. I am normally good with EITHER names OR faces, but sometimes not both But, I was thinking that if we had a nametag on during the meet and greet it might help during the rest of the cruise to remember who that person is. We can put our Disboard screen name on it (if you have one) and then real name underneath and those family members who aren't on the boards can just write their name. Very simple.

Should I pack the tags and markers?

And if anyone has any other ideas for the meet and greet, please PM me!

kim -- thanks for offering to bring name tags. i'll be honest, in the past I've had good intentions to make it to meets and didn't make it, so I don't want to be one who speaks up and then doesn't show up. but name tags help me a lot, dis and real names

we decided to pass on the candy exchange..sounds like fun but lot of folks from our area . I updated on spreadsheet

oldest DD came over today and with younger DD we started work on our FE gifts!!

Hi Everyone - Sorry I took so long to post this. My daughter and I got our room number about a week ago, but we were actually down in Disney World and I was not able to find time to post it sooner. I have updated the number on the Fish Extender spreadsheet. We are in room 9045 (Inside Cabin). Also, I was VERY surprised to get an email earlier this week from Disney confirming that they switched us to MAIN dining. That made my day!!

I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I am still a little confused on how the FE thing works, but hope what we bring isn't too lame. I wasn't totally sure what we were getting ourselves into. Should be fun!!

Go to the first page of this thread, and click on the FE link. You can put your information into the spreadsheet!

Consider the Candy Exchange as well! We are a small group who will be sharing candies from our region.

We signed up for a Bernard's tour, too. But we wanted to do more time at Maho Beach so we signed up for a private tour. Maybe we'll see you at some of the stops.
