Welcome Aboard - glad you found us! So how was the Dream since the Fantasy is a mirror of that ship? I'm so excited. This is our 3rd Disney cruise and 3rd ship.

Thanks Diane! Compared to the Wonder and Magic, the Dream was huge! Even on Nassau day the pools were still pretty crowded, where on the other 2 you could tell the difference in crowd levels. But I'm looking forward to trying this version of Remy and of course getting the chocolate souffle at Palo. And I'm also looking forward to trying this version of the Aquaduck. But I was on the Dream for a 5-night double dip and didn't have as much relaxing time as I did on the Magic (8-night with 4 days at sea), so I'll be interested to see if I'm able to find quiet spots to read and relax as easily as I did on the Magic.

Yeah! I look forward to meeting you on the cruise. Days at sea should pose the perfect opportunity! It will be DH 's & my 4th Disney ship, too! Let's make a real effort to meet.

OK about a Candy Exchange. There has been interest and dbarker has offered to make a spreadsheet for us on the first page. Now, I see that the staterooms are mentioned on that spreadsheet and if that's OK with everyone that's fine with me. If you want to PM me with your stateroom, that's fine too.

I'm willing to organize for any small number, and if there's suddenly a huge interest, I would probably divide it into groups, no more than 10 in a group. We would distribute the candy on the first sea day. What you should mention is how many would be sharing the candy in your stateroom, and if there are any allergies. The candy will be coming from various areas of the country. No minimum, just what you are willing to share.

Here's hoping for a successful and fun exchange!

DayOh! we are from central ohio...actually we are probably not too far from each other!

i need to talk to my girls and make a FE decision...when do we know the count so that we can make the gifts up ahead? dont' want to exclude anyone but i will need to start on these if i'm going to do them. i move slow these days

is there a benefit to paying off early? other than...whew...it's paid off!

so the candy exchange is a good idea for movie snacks!

Hello everyone! I know I posted pretty early on in this thread, but I am JUST now getting to read everything and have paid off the cruise and can focus more on this upcoming vacation. And now I have the time to participate more in this thread and get to know everyone a bit better.

It is myself (Kim, 36), my husband Chris (37) and our daughter Chelsea (8). This will be our 4th Disney cruise and the first on the Fantasy. We've already cruise the Magic, Wonder and Dream and are really looking forward to a 7 night cruise again with DCL.

I would love to participate with the FE exchange. I'll have to find my old FE and brush it off! Do I just sign myself up on the spreadsheet?

We are on deck 6, 6501. It's an inside stateroom since we wanted to see what that virtual porthole is all about.

This cruise will be the end of our long summer vacation with 3 days at Universal and then 7 at AKL with our DVC.

We will be at AKV Kidani for 3 nights before the cruise. Our 8 yo DGD will be with us and the rest of her family joins us the night before. Will anyone be there Pre cruise also?

We are spending the week at Kidani before the cruise, so we will be there. My DD8 I'm sure would LOVE to meet up sometime and possibly have a friend for the kids club.

Our plans have changed - we now are at AKV Kidani as well. My DDs (11 and 13) and I arrive 7/24, and my older DD, her husband and my DGS arrive late on 7/25. See you by the pool!

We will be at Kidani from 7/19 - 7/26. Then we are moving over to somewhere (still have to book the hotel) in Pt. Canaveral. This works out better for us since we will have to rearrange a bunch of luggage in the car and then we are even closer to the port the next morning. We did this for our RCCL cruise last summer and it worked out great.

We will be on this cruise with my in-laws and my parents as well as my daughter and her boyfriend. 8 of us in all.

How do we signe up for the FE?
Only my cabin will be doing this.
That includes My DD17, her boyfriend 17, DH and me.
