Hi everyone,

We're joining your cruise for July 21, 2014! We are SO excited.

Was just on the Fantasy over spring break and booked on board for the extra perks. Was going to do 8/4/14 cruise but got concerned about school sports as dd will be entering high school then.

So we are Dave, Laurie and Diana (age 14 at cruise time). We have been on The Magic in 2006, Wonder in 2010, and Fantasy, 2013, so this will be our 4th Disney Cruise. Our dd is very anxious to check out the Vibe this time now that she's old enough, or hang out and meet new friends at the Edge as well. Totally loved the Edge on the Fantasy. Anyone else with teens her age?

We did our first FE exchange also on the Fantasy and had a blast, looking forward to doing another.

Hi Aquamindy, welcome to the group!

I'm also originally from Cleveland, born and raised, but moved to NC about 8 years ago. I grew up in Cleveland and my husband in Parma Hts.

I've decided on several items that will be combined into a "cabin gift" for our FE, and we're excited about it. Mostly handmade, with one purchased item.

I'm going to start looking into travel plans, we want to fly into Portland, OR first (maybe) and then see Seattle and Vancouver before sailing. Excited to start planning!

Hello to all the new members of the group! So sorry to have not been around - unfortunately two days after I last posted my father died (after a long illness but very suddenly in the end) so it's been a difficult few months to say the least.

Much better now and looking forward again.

We've actually just today booked a cruise before this one - Christmas on the Dream!! So we've now got 2 fantastic cruises to look forward to.

I don't think the FE planning has begun - so if you like I'm happy to organize it? Please either PM or email me your cabin number, names, ages of children and also if you have any food allergies in case anyone is planning food gifts. I'm so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I lost my dad 12 years ago and my husband lost his last year. It's never easy but eventually it gets "less difficult." It's their first cruise and while they love the concept, they both agreed they'd leave the fun to us kids. This will be our 4th cruise and 2nd DCL to Alaska.

Thank you for your kind words, it's difficult but I'm getting there. The oddest thing can set me off crying when I least expect it though.

Now that summer '13 is coming to a close it is time to focus on the Wonder-ful trip to the 49th state. We have 4 traveling, myself, dh, dd (age 22) & dd (age18). We are celebrating the graduations of both daughters, one from college and the other from high school. This is our second Disney Cruise. We were on the Fantasy July '12 and had a blast. The fantasy was a cruise to experience the ship, the Wonder is a cruise to experience the destination! We plan to stay in Vancouver for 3 days before the cruise.

So sorry to hear of your loss, it's always a difficult time to get through.

I will send you an email with our info for the FE, we participated in our first FE on a Spring Break cruise last year on the Fantasy and had a wonderful time. For that cruise, we split into three smaller groups which everyone seemed to favor. I would opt for that again for the Alaska cruise since we'll be flying and luggage space is at a premium. Thank you for organizing!

Also, if anyone is interested in starting a Facebook private group, we had a lot of fun exchanging info there as well.

Hi all! For those staying before or after the cruise in Vancouver, the Pan Pacific just released some room rates for our weekend (even though it still appears "grayed out" at the check rates screen). They have a family package with breakfasts, movies and treats with 50% off the 2nd room. And it's not a "pre-pay" deal. For anyone needing 2 rooms, this is a great deal at a very lovely place. They do have other specials as well. Less than 300 days away!!!

My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I just booked this trip even though we booked a 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral for March on the Dream. The March trip will be our first Disney cruise and we booked it to get a feel for if cruising is right for our family. I guess I was just so excited about it that my brother convinced me that I should go with him on an Alaskan cruise. An hour after tossing around logistics, the cruise is now booked!!

In my cabin, we have my DH, and two sons (ages 5 and 3 at the time of sailing). In another cabin, we have my dad, brother, sis-in-law, and their 21 year old daughter.

I'm so looking forward to this trip--an Alaskan cruise has been on my bucket list for years now. My DH doesn't care for cruises in general, so I hope the cruise in March will turn him onto the Alaskan one. He's a good sport though and he's happy when I'm happy

We're booked on Deck 2. It seems so far away from everything, but it was the only oceanview that was in our budget. Anyone else on deck 2 with us or have some insight to the 9C cabins?
