I haven't been on the boards for the past month. My sister passed away and we have had all sorts of things to deal with. But I have been trying to work out whether or not the lunch is on as I was doing a car share and bringing Sue with me. She asked me if I could find out the time and place to meet but unless I am being Megga Dumb I can't find anything.

I assume that it has been cancelled due to a variety of reasons unless someone can fill in the blanks for a silly person we will just meet up on the ship. I will check in here again in the morning before the school run just to make sure that I haven't made a mistake and missed something.

Andrea, I am so sorry to hear that, how terrible for you, I hope you and your family are OK.

The lunch was going to be on, meeting up at 11.30ish somewhere at the Trafford. The place hadn't been confirmed, but someone did mention Carluccios (Italian), but I wouldn't know where it is. is it in the Halls?

I am not sure now if Sports Day will be on - it has been pouring with rain all day today and school did say that if it is really bad, then they may cancel it, but I won't know until the morning.

I will check on the boards in the morning too to see where you are meeting up, as Judy is still going - I will bring my DCL Dooney & Bourke bag, so if you see a blonde wandering around aimlesly with a bag with Disney characters on, you will know it is me!

I am going to try and call in, I have been at school this morning and they said that if it brightens up they will hold it, but who knows what 'Brightens Up', means!!! But I am only half an hour away, so I can ring and see if it is on and nip away just after 1, still gives an hour or so for a gossip!!

oops so sorry, did not see this until I got back in just now ....for some reason I often don't get notifications of new posts on this DIS thread.

We left in such a rush this morning (we had to drop DS off at his school first) that I did not get to even turn the computer on.

I can only apologise if there was a meet in the end - I had assumed that there wasn't when I retired for bed last night and there hadn't been any further talk. If we do end up doing another rescheduled one please let me know !!

On the positive ...I got back to find my cruise documents had arrived !!

We haven't received anything from DCL in the mail yet. Will we be getting something soon or will we just have to wait until we get there to find out our stateroom number and other info? Firstly, sorry we missed you Judy, I didn't think I would be going today, but then Sports Day was cancelled (yet again!).

Thank you Sue and Andrea, for a lovely lunch, it was great to have a gossip and I am up for doing it again, if anyone cares too - Any excuse for a lunch without kids!!!

When I got back, Fed Express had tried to leave our documents, but hopefully will redeliver tomorrow, only 34 days!!!!!

Thank you for this link. We did want to do this, last year everyone was saying how fantastic it was and we really felt we had missed out. I had tentatively looked at it through DCL, but at $99 for the adults and $79 for a child, we thought it a bit expensive. However, looking at their website, it is in fact only $73 dollars per person and $44 for a child, if we book it direct.

I have sent them an email, to see if they are doing a trip on the day we are there, anyone wish to join us if so?

It will be running as DCL are offering it...it is the same boat ! - I would doubt at the DCL price they will fill it ! However it could be open to other cruise ships in port that day

I really liked the idea of it too, but we have already booked the Hypogeum (these are non cancellation tickets that are expensive since access is so limited) which we really wanted to see and were not able to do so on our October vacation......... we already saw plenty of Malta last year (though did not do the schooner as it was damaged on rocks just before we went). Malta is not a beach island (its mainly steep cliffs !)- the schooner definitely takes you to the best area to swim !

Kate - I was actually looking at that excursion but through Disney it says kids have to be 6 and up (our daughter will be 5) but on this website I don't see any age minimum... wondering if it's bookable direct for us? It sounds amazing.
