It’s a little early but I’m a LOT excited!!! Who else is with me?

We were going to go in April but I couldn’t stand the thought of missing the 70th Birthday celebration events by just one month! So we pushed the trip back to July. I’ll miss what would have been my 4th Dapper Day but…

VERY excited about:
The Paint The Night Parade
A new World Of Color: World Of Color Happiness!
Wondrous Journeys Fireworks returning!
“Walt Disney- A Magical Life”

Dates of Interest/Events:

July 4th: Independence Day Celebrations with special fireworks show, "Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky."

July 17th:
-Disneyland’s 70th Birthday! The festivities run from May 16th 2025-Summer 2026

-July 17th will be the opening day of “Walt Disney- A Magical Life” at the Main Street Opera House, an experience honoring the incredible story of Walt Disney’s Life.

-The premiere of: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers at Main Street Cinema. A brand new short film, ‘The Last Verse’, will play.

-“it’s a small world” will premiere the new verse written by Richard Sherman:
‘Mother Earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we gives makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all'

-New exhibits at the Opera House will debut, including some never before seen artifacts from Disneylands early days

-also at the Opera House, an exhibit of the history of Audio-Anamatronics

We’re going for our first trip 7/15-7/17…slightly concerned about the 70th anniversary date being on 7/17. But 70 isn’t really that exciting of a number so hopefully it doesn’t affect crowds.

It'll bring crowds, but of very happy people all with the same interest!! Have so much fun!!! Maybe they'll do something so special, too!

July 29 - August 2, staying at the most magical Disneyland Hotel. We were going to go later in the year but the NBC overlay is going up so EARLY, and we have one in our group who has never seen the OG Haunted Mansion, so July it is! The NBC overlay schedule needs to be pared back so it doesn't take up half a year!

I am honestly looking forward to the heat. I am in CA but in the cold, damp redwoods.
I am hoping it won't be insanely busy...but if it is, I'll still be smiling!

I was sort of peeking for one, too. Finally decided I didn't want to wait and I wanted to get it going since we are all under 200 days!!!

That's a nice long trip you have planned! Are you doing anything else besides Disney?

June 29-July 7 for us!
Grand Californian for 3 nights (first time there) and Disneyland Hotel for the other 5. We stayed there last spring break and LOVED it! Both rooms will be DVC.

I am nervous for hot weather because I am expecting it to be average and for some reason, we NEVER get average temps when we travel. Sorry to say, we bring the "unprecedented" when we arrive!

We have eight total nights but only five park days. For some reason, that feels like not enough! But it was the most we could purchase in a set? So we plan to add some pool days and maybe Knotts Berry Farm or a beach day. Last year we did things in LA, so not looking to repeat any of that.

Excited to plan with you guys!

Planning on 7/2-7/5 at the Disneyland Hotel.

We are going in 10 days but had 70th FOMO and planned another trip. PTN is to DD what Main St Electrical Parade is to me (she calls it “the parade of her childhood”) so I’m glad she will get to see it again.

We will be there 7/10-7/13 before heading off to Aulani. My 50th birthday is on 7/10 and I am so excited to spend it at DLR Staying at VGC. Can't wait!!
We haven't been to DLR since 2015 so I have a lot of catching up to do. We have been to WDW most other years. Living in Texas puts us right in between the 2 coasts so it's always a toss up which way to go. Summer always means DLR for better weather.
