Hello everyone!

We have close friends planning a trip in July 2019. It will be 3 families all together. Grandparents are going. They have not been before.

We have been lots! But, I never plan in July.

Besides the normal go early, take a break during the heat, and then go back in the evening; what else would you suggest?

We are guiding them on the where to eat and fast passes.

I am thinking maybe the neck wraps that stay cool?

Any other ideas that I might not think about? I am worried about the heat and humidity especially for the grandparents. We are from Texas but the humidity is an entire new monster!

We have been in July multiple times. Yes, it is hot and humid, but, honestly, the worst trip we ever went on from a heat standpoint was in late May/early June, so you just never know.

We sometimes would take a break and go back at night when it is cooler, but, last year, we stayed off-property, so we were in the parks all day. We just tried to do more of the indoor, air-conditioned attractions in the heat of the afternoon. This works out well, since many of these are not the headliners anyway. Doing CoP, Philharmagic, Hall of Presidents, etc. in MK during the afternoon works out well. We also tried to eat at 3:30-4:00 to take a break and get out of the heat.

We took the cooling towels and misting fans and used them some. We would freeze water bottles the night before and then, during the day, they would thaw out and be cool for drinking.

We've always enjoyed July and with the extended park hours and lower crowds the last couple of years, I think it's a great time to go.

Agree with above advice. Our hottest trip was mid-May! The frozen water bottles were lifesavers. We also traveled with kids and froze their juice boxes, too. Philharmagic is the best for a cool down.

We stayed offsite (with a car), so still left mid-afternoon and came back in evening.

Well I would have thought our super hot May trip in 2015 was unusual but I guess it was not that unusual! I assumed July would be for sure hot and May might be a maybe!

I am going to make a list of suggestions for them. I know some seem so obvious but sometimes when you are on vacation you just don't think!

Thank you!
