hello everybody! I used this board lots when we went to Disney 2 years ago and we are back planning again :-) original plan was 2018 but I'm hoping we can do it next year.
Last time I booked it all separately and hired a villa, both flight and villa prices have increased a fair bit since then though so I'm also looking at hotel packages to see what I can come up with, there are 2 adults, and 3 children who will be 17, 13 and 6.
Obviously a villa gives us more freedom and space but does any family of 5 have a hotel that they like? I liked the idea of getting bed and breakfast but looking at the difference in price not sure if it's best to just do room only and sort breakfast ourselves. Happy to hear anyone's thoughts.... And so excited to be back!!

Try checking out Saratoga springs. Free dining deal still on and it will give you more room than a standard hotel room. My daughter and her husband love it there.

We used to be a family of 5 before my daughter got married. We've stayed in many a room in yacht and beach club and also swan and dolphin over the years. Love the location and sometimes we've had free dining other times we've gone room only and done club level which is great for extra space especially at breakfast. Worth a look either direct with Disney or sometimes travel agents have a magical deal/ rate :)

Thank you

at saratoga springs and old key west, you'll have to take a minimum 1 bedroom i believe....
the studio holds a maximum of 4 people...
we'll be staying at saratoga springs in august 2017 in two 2 bedroom villas (free dining package), but a 2 bedroom is very pricy...
but i think as a family of 5 you're allowed to book a 1 bedroom (with free dining)...that works out pretty well since disney discounts SSR and OKW for free dining...

if you just want to stay in a room, as the previous poster mentioned, the beach club and yacht club allow 5 in a room...
but you're going to be very cramped with that many people in one little room...at least it would be that way for us...

SSR is a really pretty resort, the only thing is i would do alot of research to make sure you stay in the bit of the resort that is most convenient to you, we were in the bit nearest Disney springs which was nice, but was quite far from the main resort facilities, as a consequence we didn't use them as much as we planned, when you read about people saying its big it really is a big resort.

we are staying at CBR next year, but had funds been a little better i think i would have pushed a bit out and gone for OKW as I'm told the rooms are quite large there which might suit you a little better?
