July 2017 / Events or Conventions during this time

Hi All,

Planning on visiting Disneyland in July 2017 and know that it will be BUSY!

Can anyone please advise the following:

a) What Events or Conventions (please advise NAME & DATES) occurring in July 2017 that we should be aware of.

b) Any tips on how best to tour the parks on these dates?

* Obviously we know to make (or more like "try to make" when it comes to our family) rope drop, use fast passes and bring lots of patience!

* Any idea if this is the "norm"? Attendees for these events/conventions busy during the day and usually enter the parks in the afternoon/evening?

* Any idea if the days "before" OR "after" the event dates/conventions are "busier" (because attendees prefer to enter the parks during their "non-event/convention" days)?

When in July.
The only convention I'm aware of is FBLA's National Leadership competition.
That is taking place June 29th through July 2nd.
It's highly likely that people in that group will be going to the parks before, during, and just after the competion.
I went in 2013 during FBLA and it was crowded but definitely easily doable still.
I expect it to be crowded this year as well but still definitely doable.
I'm only aware of this convention due to the fact that my sister chaperones it.
So I am not aware of other conventions that may take place throughout the rest of the month of July.

D23 is at the Anaheim convention center July 14-16. It shouldn't have a huge effect on the parks during the day, but in the evenings a lot of people head over after the convention.

Also with D23 know that before and after will be busy because of people extending their vacations to enjoy the parks. I'd expect the crowds to start to pick up on the 12 and stay pretty decent until the 18th. Last years were manageable though every day but the monday after but it was the next month and APs were not blacked out any more. Hopefully with it being in a summer AP black out it will helps crowds just a tiny bit before and after.

THANK YOU!! I was looking for a list like the one you have shown in your link! I spent 1 hour+ searching on the internet and couldn't get a comprehensive list. I should have just asked the DISer's first! Would have saved me a lot of time! Should have known better!
