July 2012 Who's Going Thread

Just over 2 weeks for us....oh boy!

The Who's Going list is updated. I am so excited as we get closer I can't see straight. Next week some of you will already be there and I want live updates. I am off to Dallas tomorrow since the idiot side of me thought it was a good idea to send my DD off to a soccer camp the week before we go to Disney so I guess I will have to rush pack when we get home Saturday. Of course all those bored hours in the hotel maybe I'll start a pre-trip report.

Next Monday at this time I will be at DL I so excited!! My family thinks I'm crazy with all the planning I've been doing. My little ones don't know yet, going to surprise the morning we drive down. I will let everyone know what crowds are like.

I have 3 weeks left...you 5 dayers are killing me! Until then, we are watching a Disney movie a night. So far we have watched 101 Dalmatians, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Wally, Princess and the Frog, Ratatouille, Brave, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Finding Nemo. Oh and we've watched Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark. (Can you tell it 's been a cold and rainy summer so far!)

What should we watch tomorrow? or the next day or the next?

This is my last week of work and then all of July off! Yahoo! Y'all have a great time and give us updates of lines, fastpasses, etc.!

Safe travels! we have added on a few days to ours, staying from the 23 to the 27 at the Disneyland Hotel. ending the holiday on a high note and getting in a couple of early entries!

After seeing some video's of opening crowds at carsland i think staying on site to get an early entry is well worth it.

Thanks disneydreamer74! I feel pretty prepared with all the great info and help from everyone on the boards. It will be magical!! I will try my best to help others with any questions when we return to make their trip just as magical.

Unwrapped on the Food Channel just had an entire episode dedicated to treats and eats at Disneyland and WDW. It was fascinating and got the family all excited!!

I'm surprised there's only one person on the who's going list staying at the CCI. I'm trying to put a very last minute trip together and definitely want to stay at the Candy Cane again. When I called to book they were almost sold out and we'll have to do a split stay and change rooms. So, it must still be pretty popular.

When I called to book they were almost sold out and we'll have to do a split stay and change rooms. So, it must still be pretty popular.

I remember we were at CCI at the same time last year along with a bunch of other people. I kept my eye out for any sort of sign of Dissers but never saw any. This year on one of the days I'll wear my DisUnplugged t-shirt I got for having my email read on the podcast. We'll see if any one comments on it.

Oy vey! Only 3 days left to go! My parents will be here Friday morning. My sister and her sons and my niece (other sister's daughter) have decided that they can't wait until Friday to leave, so they'll be leaving Seattle at 9pm tomorrow night to arrive at my place by 9 in the morning. The young adults (niece and nephew and their BF/GF) will be going to our local water park for the day, then we'll all be off Saturday morning. Today I washed my car and cleaned the interior, then packed a footlocker for my military training. Tomorrow after my final dental appointment I need to make sure that my guest room is habitable (changing sheets, vacuuming), and finish packing my Disney bag. Last minute stuff is gonna kill me!

Yes, it does seem to be popular! I think the month of July is pretty much booked solid for most close hotels. The parks will be very busy this summer. I am staying at FFI, but I want to try CCI one year!!

...that we are telling the children that we're going on their first vacation trip ever! I've got a large box, themed helium balloons, and spent all day yesterday creating tickets for each segment of the trip.

1. Flying to California
2. Going to Disneyland
3. A Day at the Zoo
4. Visiting the Ocean

They are 4 and 7 and I've downloaded the Explore Disneyland app on their iPad which they have played with quite a bit over the last 4 months so they have a little context of what it's all about. In the car the other day the older was wishing she could go to Disneyland *snicker*. "I don't know sweetie, it's so far away. Maybe when you're like 10."

I remember that! I kept my eye out for you but no luck. We rode the shuttle a lot that trip. That and the free breakfast were big selling points for my husband. I hope we get to go back. We're trying to work out a trip for July 13-16th.

Aw, we will miss each other again. I'm going later in July. I don't think we rode the shuttle at all last time.
