Can you clarify what changes are happening at the Park Vue? We're staying there July 7-10, so if there is construction or other issues, I'd love to know. Thanks!

I understand they are no longer offering their evening "social hour" food, no water bottles and cookies in the lobby, and are phasing out their gift baskets as of July 1. We were going to stay there, but due to some recent iffy reviews are thinking about BWPPI, as we had a good stay there last summer.

Just a couple iffy reviews that have happened recently. I would be lying if I said them taking away freebies didn't irk me a bit. It's just I've never stayed there. It's an unknown to me and with it being unknown, them taking away from minor freebies the reviews makes me wonder if maybe the overall service might be taking a step backward.

Not construction or anything that would hamper getting to and from the park.
It's probably still a nice place to stay I just decided for the money I can stay further away from the park and use the tram.

300 dollars difference can give you another day at the parks or two more nice meals inside the park as well. I just decided I would rather put my money toward that.

Super 8 disneyland drive is far from a luxurious place to stay but it works for our needs and I know what I am getting.

Now, for a bit of good news! A couple weeks ago I posted that we were scared our trip might now happen because my wife had an abnormal pap.
Well they took a biopsy and just called and told her she looks good. She is just going to do a follow up in four months to check again!!!

That's so great! Both for your wife's health and for your trip. Now instead of worrying about health issues you can concentrate on getting ready for the happiest place on earth!

We have less than two weeks and I am just about to go insane.

Glad to hear it :thumbsup2

We'll be there, 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Probably second half of the month, not sure which week yet but it'll be a weekend trip. Hotel will likely be FFI, if that's booked or otherwise falls through then Anaheim Marriott Suites in Garden Grove or DLH if they have any specials (yeah right!). Main goal: Cars Land, and whatever else we can do with the remaining 1-2 hours in the day haha.

:cool1: Hubby and I both had good news from recent biopsy and tests as well! I actually cried when I heard, it was just such a huge relief after the hellish year and half we have had. I felt like I had been holding my breath for a week! we are celebrating by adding 3 days at the Disneyland Hotel to the end of our trip!! :yay: thus our dates are extended by 3 glorious days! :cloud9:

I'm so happy for everyone celebrating good test results. I had a scare too but was able to get back "normal" results later that day. I had visions of having to cancel our trip.

Definately glad to hear there are others are also getting good news on health scares!

As we approach 40 things start to creep into your mind and it's never the most positive outcome you think about..

Just makes us think we need to slow down. Take more trips and take more photos because everyday is precious.

Well, my DH messed up the dates of his vacation, so we have to move our trip back a week....at least we are still able to go in July, but we will now be at the DLH from July 22-28.

Just wanted to join the thread and say hi!

DS 6 and I will be at DLR July 5-8 for our first DL trip ever, and our first mother-son Disney trip on either coast. DS loves Cars and we are SO ready for Cars Land!!! We'll have four full days in the parks.

As WDW vets we're well-versed in summer crowds and heat. Hoping the humidity will be less of an issue in CA than in FL though. We just couldn't pass up this opportunity - great discount on the Fairfield Inn across the street from DL and our flights were FREE because of SW points. This trip will run us about the same price as a long weekend in NYC - so to go across the country for DL was a no-brainer!

Two weeks left! Woo hooooo! :cheer2:
