July 2011 code watch?

We booked for August. The CM who I talked to said that the resorts are all very booked in July, and there was almost no chance of any discount coming out.

August is further away, but at least the Brazilians will be mostly gone.

We book yesterday for July and everything seems pretty wide open. Only thing I saw gone was the regular view/ rooms over at the YC.

CM I spoke with said last there is no way to tell whet will come out. Last year there was a discount for July so to say no chance is kinda just an opinion I would think.

Jumping in :)

Looking for the very end of July start of August, fingers crossed for all of us :cool2:

Looking at this as well.....haven't committed to this trip yet, we were supposed to go to a wedding in Savannah during this time, but my cousin ended up calling off the wedding.....trying to decide how to spend the time instead....

Also jumping in for 4th of July. Hoping for Florida Resident or Annual Passholder rates.

:surfweb:if my evil plot works out we will be in the world in july. Last year we got a great discount, but im not too hopeful for this year :sad1:

I am now debating of switching my ressie from Poly to Beach Club. At least I know I will save $700. I can also try to get a AAA discount, but then if other discounts come out I don't know if I can use them if they are better.

You can - I did that last year. I booked through AAA and got their discount (I think it was like 10-15%). Then, we got a PIN code and I called the travel agent and she switched it for us.
The only problem with booking through AAA is that you can't call Disney directly about your reservation - the AAA travel agent has to handle EVERYTHING. Lucky for me, ours was good, but still a middle-man situation.

I think I will probably go ahead and book through AAA and hope for a better discount too!

Someone told me on here that I can just call the CRO and ask them to apply my AAA discount. Looks like the summer rates is 10% for Poly (which I am currently booked at) and 15 to 20% for beach club which I am thinking of moving to. Makes more sense to save more money and save the Poly for when I can get 40% off.

I guess it just depends on who you talk to. Last year when I called and tried to use my AAA discount, they told me I had to book through AAA. I'll try it again this year - maybe the rules have changed.

How do you see the rates for each resort? Or did you just ask when you were on the phone?
We like the cabins at Fort Wilderness.

I would also like to be included in the discount code for July. I hope they get one out soon.popcorn:::cutie

Waiting here as well. An AP discount would work really nice for the end of July first part of August :thumbsup2

I just called the reservation system to ask about a pin code for late July and the lady told me there were no discounts at that time. She also told me they had a meeting this morning and they were told that there would be no more discounts for the summer. I am still holding out hope though.

Hopefully that was just a zealous sales pitch... and summer discounts are on their way!

Count me in as also impatiently waiting for some type of deal for late June/early July. Went that time last year, and know I had AP discounts. Can't remember if there was a GP offer also going on or any pins?

Getting nervous there will be none - and can't change my dates, as flights are already booked (and really, is the ONLY time to go for us - need to go in between when school gets out and when summer school starts back up for autistic son).
I'm assuming that AP rates WILL end up coming out for July - but when? Certainly not any time soon... and my issue is I'm trying to nail down my schedule and ADRs. Planning on bulk of trip at Pop - but really want to do also a night at YC and a night at Poly, but can't if no deal. ugh!

Well I'm trying to be optimistic and am hoping that when the offer that ends mid-feb expires something for our dates will come out :goodvibes

I think I have given up and we are going to stay off-site at Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We will have a rental car anyway and to get a 2 bedroom villa for $200 a night is too good of a deal to pass up. I am sad not to be staying onsite now but we were able to knock a thousand dollars off of our budget by doing this.
