July 2011 Check in Thread Post your travel dates and hotel here

Daisybelle, I have added your dates and lodging to the list. And welcome to the July Check in thread!

Actually there are a lot of DISer's gong in mid July. Seven of you will be at DLR form July 10th to the 13th alone. There are a total of 11 Diser's from the 10th to the 19th so far. You all should wear your Lime Green Mickey paint card so each of you can spot each other while at the parks.

1st trip ever! 7/5-7/10. Most likely at the Carousel Inn or PPH (if a deal springs up):yay:

PinkBudgie - The only reason I can imagine going all that distance to "Spokane" is because you had family there. Not really like a road trip to DLand!:rotfl:Denny's must have bought Sambos because that's what our Sambos became as well.
Looks like we will have to have all wear LGMH to identify each other.:thumbsup2

YOu're added. I hope you get to take advantage of a good PPH rate.

Yeah for LGMH! Funny thing is, I don't have one yet. And I should get one, but I don't live near a Home Depot. There is one on the way to Costco, but I keep forgetting to stop and get one. I should add "Home Depot" to my Costco shopping list to remind me to go. :rotfl2:

A picture to bump with.

Yes, my parents are from Spokane so both sets of grandparents lived there. Now that they are gone we don't go anymore but I do miss it. I loved sitting out on the lawn in the evening because the weather is still warm at night and I also enjoyed the shopping. I always found interesting stores there. And going to Riverfront Park, parking in the "Parkade", and going across the skywalks downtown. :goodvibes

Anyway, with so many of us at CCI at the same time we could have one big meet at breakfast! :rotfl: A while back someone had posted a LGMH "clip art" you could print out on your computer if you didn't have a Home Depot nearby. I don't know who, or in what thread though. :confused3

PinkBudgie, thanks for the LGMH "clip art" clue. I would love to find this thread/post. If I do, I'll post it here. Well off on a LGMH "clip art" hunt :).

I have to go to work now, but I can look too when I get home. My sister, LavenderPeach might know. I'll check with her.

PinkBudgie, that would be great! I got to get the kids to school, so I haven't looked much. Will look later this morning. Between the two of us, I think we can find it :thumbsup2.

I miss going to Spokane too!

Okay, I found the thread with the LGMHs that you can print: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2200034&highlight=lgmh+computer

Scroll down to post #8 and you will see it. Personally I think these are a little too flourecent instead of being lime so I took them into photoshop to tone the green down just a bit. Then I typed out my screen name using the disney font. After I cut them out i glued 2 of them together and laminated them and then punched a hole in the top so i could hang it off my bag.

Hope that helps!

Thank you, LavenderPeach. Yes that helps a lot, and your idea for toning down the lime green is a good one. What can I do to bribe my DD(15) to make the changes I want using Photoshop? ;)

You're welcome! :goodvibes Maybe you could tell your DD you'll buy her a churro when you get to DLR. :thumbsup2

My ticker says I have exactingly 3 months until my romantic weekend with my DH. I think it is on Eastern time. Meaning Tomorrow marks my 3 month mark until my 4th of July weekend. :cool1:

It still seems like forever.

Ugh, we're still over the 3 month mark. This is what gets me through long days at work. :goodvibes

I check in date is the first, which means that it is exactly 3 months to July :cool1::dance3: Iti s getting closer!

Yes, the tickers are nice to keep you from going crazy with the wait. At least that is what they do for me. There will be three or four days where I never look at my ticker. When I do, I am so excited because the ticker time has decreased.

In thirty two days, I can start to book my dinner reservations.!

We're at 101 days here! I'm excitied to almost be in the double digits finally! My daughter has decided we need to commemorate the 100 day mark, so she is preparing a meal inspired by our favorite Land, New Orleans Square. She's making Jambalaya and mint julips. :) She's interested in becoming a chef so this is up her alley. And we're making a countdown calendar.

Can I just say how awesome it is to have a 16-year-old who still gets this enthused about a Disney trip? :cloud9:

We are going from 7/10 to 7/14.

We will be staying at Candy Cane Inn.

First trip to DisneyLand. Our only trip to DisneyWorld was July 2005.
We're excited!

Thanks to everyone for their helpful posts chalkful of information!

It is awesome that your 16 year old is still excited about Disney. And to get dinner out of it, too! That is way cool! Come on double digits...quickly get here :rotfl2:

Got your dates added. Welcome to DISboards and to the July Check-in Thread. It really has been a long time since a visit to any Disney Park for you! How exciting and wonderful. You should have a great time and be so thrilled with all the new attractions. It would be a good plan to keep an eye on any threads discussing how to manage the lines for Star Tours and the Little Mermaid ride. I have found DISboards to quite helpful with any new attractions and how to mamge the lines.
