We will be at HS too on the 28th. We have dinner at MamaMelrose around 5pm so we will probaly head in to the park later in the afternoon.

3. For all of my teacher friends looking for a job right now, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND! I live in Florida, and right now things are BAD! I taught school for two years, and then was laid off due to budget cuts and lack of units available. Since May 2009(month I got laid off) I have applied for 80 teaching positions just in my county. I've applied for 55 in the neighboring county. 135 jobs applied for, and only 6 interviews!!! Interviewing has just started for this coming school year, so I'm hoping third times a charm!!! I know the Lord will provide for my husband and I. He is always on time. While I'm waiting though, I will enjoy all things Disney!

I have not applied to as many (not as many to apply FOR lol) but I have had two interviews ... no other calls, like I don't even exist! And I am not a brand new teacher! 5 years experience, a masters degree ... it is really really frustrating. Thank goodness we can live on one income and my husband is not losing his job anytime soon LOL

Okay, I just sent a request. I forgot to check in with the DIS this morning. I guess I was in too much of a hurry to clean the garage and kitchen floors. What's wrong with me?!

And, yes, that was me! We hadn't seen Peter Pan our whole week but we ran into him at Epcot?!?!?!?!?! Well, then of course, we ran into him at MK the next day--he and Wendy were our next to last characters that trip.

That is too funny. What are the chances Did you read my reason why we need to meet him. DS5 fell asleep on the pirate cruise and was quite upset that we did not wake him.

Peter Pan was cool about it and said why don't we all pretend to sleep, unfortunately DH didn't get the message

That is too cute!!! I love the picture. Peter Pan (all the times I've run into him) has been a great young man to meet. He's apparently not allowed back at CRT because he once let a frog loose there and Cinderella hasn't forgiven him.

It is completely optional, but I think the idea is to bring a small token gift for each family that represents where we come from........hopefully that makes sense......no biggie either way.

Yeah, nothing big. Just something to represent your area, or who you are... or if you can't think of anything... just show up! I'm not picky! lol.... Or you can buy us all Dole whips!

We saw him on our Honeymoon in 2001... that was it. He was with Capn hook. That was when they still sort of appeared randomly.

The pic we have with Capn Hook is really good because he has his arm around me, and his back to my DH. Mr. Smee is in the Animation Building at DHS.

I've never seen them either, except in parades.


Btw kids, is there ANY interest in a meet after the 20th for the people going later in the month who won't be able to make any of the first three meets?

Anyone who's going in the last third of the month want to set something up for a date after the 22nd or so?


I don't want anyone going later to feel left out

One more thing: I think this is tied for the best "happy dance" group I've ever been part of. They've both been July groups! Coincidence?

I will say that what I'm bringing has a definite Military flair to it. I can also say that I've only got 2 of them done (I ran out of something needed to make them lol) and they will be personalized to match your DIS names.
