wooo we are going in July!!! Our dates are july 15th to the 27th!!! Staying at Star Island resort in a 3 bedroom unit.... (we have a timeshare)

Welcome! The Grand Floridian is a beautiful place. Have you requested are certain building? We are doing the dining plan too this year - lots of food - but a great opportunity to try a lot of new places! This is a great place to ask questions if you have any!

Where in PA? We are outside of Pittsburgh!

We have a "garden" view. Not sure of the exact building. We're trying to keep our costs down and paying for a park view or lagoon view was not in the budget

BTW, I live in a suburb of Phila.

My husband didn't think they'd be too comfortable for walking around. But I have high arches and a wide foot.

I just paid off both portions of my trip, the one for the end of June and the one for our July anniversary trip.

Men! lol... Don't know what to tell you. I know I wear Birks year round. I do take a pair of sneakers when I go on "walking" vacations too, but I normally wear mostly my Birks. I talked my mom into a pair a few years ago, and she loves them as well.

Again, it is a personal preference. I'm not too big on paying the price for them, but I do wear them for many years, as opposed to only a year or two.

Last time we stayed off site it was at Star Island, because my in-laws had a timeshare and they traded into it. We liked it a lot there!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days guys. I've had some small excitement going on here. I admit they are things I was planning on doing anyway, just not 2 months out from the trip.

First, I finally bought my iron on xfers to do mine and the girls Proud Army Wife/Daughter shirts

Then as I was cleanining out my room to put all my luggaged under my bed (so I wont look at it ad so my mom can help me re-pack when she's here) my middle daughte called me downstairs to clean up some mess that YDD made. As I'm cleaning up this mess, YDD starts walking towards me and it looks like part of her hair is pulled off to one side, then she get's closer and I realize she CUT her hair It wasnt just a little either, I had to take her to get a REALLY short pixie cut done...so short a lady at Subway thought she was a boy So while I'm getting YDD's hair cut I figure what the hay and got my hair cut short short short as well and got MDD's hair bobbed. We also went ahead and put 2 hot pink streaks in her hair which she .

I wet shopping at Old Navy to use my bag stuffing discout (got 30% off and the entire store one BOGO 50% off!) and got 2 new swim suits and some cute shirts. They didnt have any shorts I liked in my size as yet but I have time to drop more weight to get some that I do like. I am still in shock that I actually bought a bikini, I havent worn one in YEARS! I've been a strictly one piece kind of gal but it honestly didnt look half bad.

Currently re-breaking in my Keens and some flip flops to wear around the resort.

I'm in mourning over Old Navy. We used to have 2 around here, they closed one of them a few years ago, and I just saw about 2 weeks ago they closed the other one. It's like an hour trip to get to Old Navy for me now, and I LOVE that store! My DD loves the fact they had Wonder Woman shirts too she's quite a big fan of WW. The nice thing is, the closest Old Navy is now at the same place as the closest Disney Store, so although we won't get to go to ON as often, I have an excuse to go to the Disney Store a little more often

I remember when my DD did something similar - at least it is summer, and it will be cooler! Congrats on the new clothes - always fun!!! What kind of keens do you have? I have been thinking about trying a pair.

Dole Whips are like soft serve pineapple ice cream, but not
as creamy, more like a sorbet. You can also do a dole whip float which is the soft serve sorbet in pineapple juice. They are refreshing in the heat. You can get them at MK in Adventureland, at the Aloha Isle stand. It is close to the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. I think they may have them at Captain Cooks at the Poly too.

Like Tinkerbelle said, it's a creamy pineapple ice cream type item you get in Adventureland (and at the Poly, Cpt Cooks has a self serve machine there). I like to get a dole whip float....that nice cold frozen pineapple ice cream (but it's not ice cream odly enough because my DSis didnt have a reaction to it) with pineappe juice. It's sooo good to have on a hot day!

In regards to ON, if they dont have what I want in the store, I go online I'm trying to hold off on shorts though because I KNOW I'm going to loose more weight (all typing this while looking at my skin fold/fat flap glaring at it as if to say YOU BETTER GO AWAY!) so I will probably buy them in Mid June.

They are not very cute but the keep my toes covered (which is good because I can be a tad of a klutz), and I dont have to worry about changing sox and shoes in the resort room. I bought DH a similar pair of Keen's too but he has yet to break them in (which I KNOW is not good) but on the upside I have 2 packs of mole skin and lots of blister band aids.

We went back in 2004 when my two older ones were little and I was expecting. We stayed off property and only went for 3 days. This time, we're staying at the GF and doing the dining plan. Can't wait!!!

I am going to go out on a limb and say I DID NOT like the Dole Whips. But I blame the DISboards for that. I had never heard of it until DIS and everyone said how yummy it was. I think my expectations were too high. I thought it would be like pineapple whipcream.

I also don't like Zebra Domes... but that is for another time

I don't do embroidery, but I used to be on the Disbotique thread all the time about 2 yrs ago. They are all better than me, as well LOL
I have done the outfit a day thing. OMG that is so much work!! I'm thinking about making a few things for this trip, but I haven't started yet. We have a busy 2 weeks coming up and then things are going to calm way down and I'll figure out what I'm going to do!

Well if it is in your blood you should definately try. Do you have any local sewing areas for classes or maybe a family member. Just a warning it does get very addicting. And the DISboutique thread has alot of wonderful people that will help you if you ever have a question.

I'm right there with ya. I can make a potholder like it's nobody's business! Of course, that is ALL I can make....my mom and aunts all sew SO well, although my mom does have a certain thing about button holes...she absolutely hates doing button holes for some reason. They tried teaching me, but I do not have a creative bone in my body. I do try, but I do not succeed, and I could absolutely never ask either of my children to actually wear anything I made!
