We're going to be there July 17th. My parents are taking my daughter the 15-17th, but my husband, step-dd and I will be using our GAD tix on the 17th only as that is my mom's 56th birthday and my daughter's 8th birthday. I think we may be crazy going on that day...we usually go in early December (got married at the DLH gazebo 12/7/97) so we are used to cooler weather and few crowds. The heat and the anniversary date might do me in, but I get teary eyed each time I think about celebrating the birthdays of my MOM and DAUGHTER on DISNEYLAND's actual birthday!

We're planning to visit DL from July 5th - 9th. Still haven't decided on hotels.

14 Day mark, untill we are walking through the gates of the DL. I am starting my pre trip report next Tuesday(my 7 day mark). Also doing a food trip report. Look for my reports I am also doing one for our second half of our trip at WDW. Ones for Universal studios California and Orlando to. Very much going all out

I haven't seen anything reported on the noise yet......do you get any kind of view from them??? Someone was hoping for a reserved area seating if booked at the villas but never saw if that happened or not.....have you been told anything??

Apparently no reserved seating is associated with staying at the villas. One thread said you have to go to the front entrance of DCA even to get in line for the fastpasses in the morning for WOC. Some rooms in GCV are supposed to have at least some views of WOC. But with 3 shows most nights so far, I'm starting to worry its going to be too noisy in the villas.

People have now reported back that the guests of DLR hotels and villas are being let into DCA about 40 minutes prior to opening to get their fastpasses so they are getting a jump on the general crowd.

That's a bummer. You do have to wonder about the GCH, villas & PPH & the noise associated with the show. Hopefully it won't be as bad as you're thinking.

Well that would be a bonus then!! I know the lines for the WoC FP's has not looked like a fun thing.....so hopefully that will be so for those staying in the resorts.
