Two quick questions-

1. Where's the action on the 4th of July? Which park for the best evening show?

2. Last year we were at the World the first week of June. Is the weather the first week of July a whole lot different? It was pretty dang hot last year, really hot. I am pretty sure it will be at least as hot, but I'm hoping for not much hotter. Hmmm. And is the afternoon rain pretty typical in July?

1. MK generally closes around noon on July 4th it's THAT crowded. If you don't mind a crowd- that's the place to be I guess- I wouldn't be caught dead there. I will be at Epcot. (if we book our trip)
Tip- they generally run the full "july 4th fireworks" at MK on the 3rd as well- much much less crowded.

2.Hot _ well that's an understatement. But really how can you know how hot it will be in July? Assume very hot then you might be pleasantly surprised. And yes generally rains in the afternoon- things cool down a bit- then heat right up again. HYDRATE!!

We went for the 4th last year and it was a great trip!!!! We usually go in late June, so to answer your one ? the weather didn't really seem that much hotter to us. As far as "action" all the parks except AK seemed to have fireworks ect going on for the 4th. Our choice was to go to DHS because they had fireworks there that night(have never seen fireworks at DHS before) and we did the F! dinning package and got to see that too without having to line up 2 hours early. The 4th of July fireworks for MK were on both the 3rd and the 4th(we went there on the 3rd) and they where most impressive. Good luck on your trip but please remember the parks will be crazy busy on those days for 2009 since the 4th is on a Saturday. Please go to your park of choice early and have a basic plan. Good luck and good planning.:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I'm planning on MK on 3rd July and then when the details come out it'll be a choice between Epcot and DHS (I'm thinking EPCOT)....I wonder if Voices of Liberty do anything specific??

The 3rd is usually a little less crowded since many people do not know fireworks are held that night also. Expect the temp to be 5 or so degrees warmer in the heat of the afternoon. Then again a thunderstorm might cool things down.

Thanks for the info.

What sounds like might be better, is watching on the 3rd at MK and then just hiding out on the 4th. Like at the POP pool.

We aren't attached to any one park, I'm thinking if we do go out on the 4th that Epcot would be best.

We still have our spinny-fan from last year and I suspect we'll be buying another. And we'll also probably do the afternoon break every day, that worked well for us on the hot days, it's just this year I think it will be mandatory!
