July 2009, anyone else?

We have July 21-28 at the Poly. I wanted a specific room so Booked about two months ago.:yay: :yay: :yay:

Someone asked how to book since the website only gives you through dec 2008. You can call Disney and book much further out.

I booked through AAA and they take reservations much further out as well and they do have AAA rates for Summer 2009.

I see you there! We booked a few months ago and got a AAA rate too. Hoping for an AP rate but that shouldn't be for a while.

BTW, as ofsometime in August, you ARE able to book online for 2009.

We'll be there in July, too, for our Disneymoon!!! We are doing 6-nights POR (July 20-26), 4-nights on Wonder (July 26-30), 4-nights CBR (July 30-Aug 3). Haven't booked the land stays yet, is that awful?!? Hopefully this week we will finally do it!

Booked our flights for July - arrive on 2nd and go home again on 19th......Disneymoon here we come!!! Just need to get booked up for the hotels now...

Wow, seems like lots of Disneymoons this July! Or maybe I'm just paying more attention to them because I am doing mine!!

Cruise and Poly all booked. Have been checking flights every day hoping for the rates to go down.

Just thought I'd bump this up!
We arrive June 28th, but will be there till July 8th.
really looking forward to seeing the fireworks on the 3rd & 4th!
I know..... crowds.... but, we've done crowds before.... just got to know how to deal with it.
And as for the heat...... we are prepared for that! we always chill in the afternoon by the pool. and Love to do the parks in the evening! looking forward to evening EMH!!! :cool1:

We were supposed to be there the 5th until the 11th of July, I managed to get our SSR starting the 4th! I may not have been able to get us to Disney this New Years but we are going on the 4TH, anyone have any advice for us? We go every year in May only been to Disney once in July and we were newbies, 15 years ago? What to do July 4th?

We have just decided to go this summer, so we haven't done reservations or anything yet. Something like July 3-13th, or 2nd-12th, 5th-15th. In that neighborhood. We'll stay at POP and do the regular dining package.

I had a couple questions though, hopefully someone here can help out.

1. Fireworks. Which park? Who has the best 4th of July stuff? We all like Illuminations the best, of all the parks, do they do something special at Epcot? Or is the action at MK?
2. Heat. Last year we were there the first week of June, and it was roasty-toasty. Is the beginning of July a lot worse, or is it more of the same? It was hot last year, sweat like pigs for most of the day. We still plan on doing the afternoon break, that worked well for us. I lived in Florida a long time ago, and the only thing I remember about the summer was that I left the state every year. :confused3

We went for the fourth a few years ago and the fireworks at MK were amazing! They literally surround the whole park with fireworks. We went to MGM in the morning and it was empty but by the time we got to MK around 3:00, it was packed. The fastpasses were pretty much gone for everything so be warned. I would also recommend making dining reservations as soon as you can because there was no where to eat and the wait times were huge! I'm not trying to scare you, just want you to be prepared so that you can have the best possible experience. My family loved celebrating the holiday there, despite the crowds and hope to do it again. Have a great time.

We'll be there! It'll be our first trip. We're driving, making it a family road trip. We're driving from eastern Oklahoma, stopping in Jackson, MS and Tallahassee, FL, ending up in Disney World for a week, then driving back, stopping in Pensacola, FL and Memphis, TN. Can't Wait!

Has anyone gotten a code/pin/discount for this time frame??? Due to snow days already in New ENgland. can't do the 4/3 ( won't be out until 6/22)
I have an AP but wanted to use it before it expired 7 18 09 (and 7/7-7/17 can't do)
Jill

Hoping for some type of codes for July as well....but don't know if it will actually come to pass. It's so hard to look at that 40% off pin number and know that you have to deal with paying full price because you have to go when you're kids are out of school...but that's the way it goes...at least for now.:confused3

we were there from 6/30 - 7/18 last year and used an ap rate for the Poly, POR and the cabins

Thanks to the PP about getting an AP rate last summer over July 4th--- exactly the encouragement I needed
Jill

We'll be there in July, too! We go in July every year and are really hoping for good codes, too. I got the 40% passholder code today in the mail, and it is so sad that it does not match up with our dates. Oh well, hopefully something just as great will come along. If so, we are headed back to the Beach Club. We did WL last year and loved it, but really want to go back to our favorite BC.

I so hope that there's some kind of discount for mid-late July!!!!! Anything! 10% would even be awesome! Just sommmeeeethhhinnnnggggggg!!!:thumbsup2

Get AAA. It's only about $60 for the year and you can get 10%-15% off depending on the resort. I got a $301 room only rate a night at Poly for July.

I have July 2-5 booked at the Dolphin. On a father-daughter trip with my dad, just to see the special fireworks.:goodvibes

I got a great AAA rate at the Dolphin. With taxes and fees it is $194.79 a night. I figure being on the Boardwalk will be worth its weight in gold for that time period.

Maxiesmom; That sounds like a great trip,we wre going togo In July but my DS could not wait so we are going In March. If we could swing it we will be there In July.

Some of my friends booked for July this year and they are excited to pack and crazy thinking about the upcoming trip

How I wish we were going to Disney as early as all of you here, but still we are in process of planning. Maybe we will have our trip on December, I'm excited and little bit crazy. :rotfl: But we can change our minds every now and then.:rotfl:
