We will be going to WDW July 19-26 and staying at CBR. Anyone else out there crazy:crazy: enough to be planning already. Maybe we can give tips here.

That is a long wait, but it will be worth it! Let us know how the planning is going.

I'll join in! I have POFQ booked for June 30- July 5. But depending on what Disney ends up doing with their new way of pricing rooms, that all may change. I wish they would release the new prices already!:hyper:

Okay since we just got back I'm already planning new trips. I just booked our January 2008 trip at the Polynesian. We plan to be at Disney July 15-29 but still debating - Poly, GF, YC or split stay. This year we got a great deal on YC so even after I make our reservations things could still change depending up AP rates or good offers!

We will be at WDW July 25 to August 3rd. We are checking in on our 16 year wedding anniversary, and our twins will turn 7 during the trip as well. We are doing a split stay, and I still can't decide between the Poly or CR for the first half of the trip. I love the Poly, but I keep reading that the pool is always crowded in the afternoons which is when we would be at the pool. Any advice would be appreciated!

My family thinks I am crazy to be planning this so far in advance. They just don't get it. I can't wait even though it's about a year away.

Can I join in on the fun?? We booked our trip on Monday!

July 19-26th, staying at the Poly. I have not been to Disney since 1993, and my DH and kids have NEVER been!!!! I can't wait!

We're booked at the Poly! We arrive July 25th, but I still haven't decided if we are staying for 2 or 4 nights (currently booked for 4). The second half of the stay we're at the Dolphin.

4ForMe,

Sounds like our stay will overlap by a night. We are also going for my DD's 7th birthday. She turns 7 on July 18th. We'll have her birthday dinner that night and surprise her with the trip as her gift. Then we leave at 4am the next morning! Still don't know how I'm going to keep this secret from my kids for a whole year!

lemondog,

What a great b-day present for your DD! We are also trying to keep the trip a secret from the kids. It's going to be hard, though, as my mom is excited about going and will have a bunch of questions as we get closer and closer to departure. This is my first onsite trip with DH and the kids. I'm hoping they love the Poly as much as I do.

Hey, When do you think is the best time of the year to go. I've only got to go to WDW once(been to DL several times) and it was at spring break 2 years ago. I'm planning a trip with my daughter and 3 grandchildren. Ages 3 almost 4 (at that time),10 and 8, (they are home schooled). And what is the difference between Peak and Summer Season? Thanks for your help. Planning really is fun and you can't plan too early.

Hi Brenda,

Since the older kids are homeschooled, I would definitely go in maybe early fall or late January/early Feb. Seems like those are the least crowded and cheapest times of year. The last time I went (way back in 1993) it was early May, and it was WONDERFUL! Great weather, very little crowds.

Booking today - finally made up my mind!

July 21-31 GF
July 31-August 5- YC

We usually go earlier in July but since they switched value in the deluxes to July 20th and we buy annual passes we figured we do this summer in value season!

We'll be there too  16th/17th - 20th before getting on the Wonder and then a day (or two? Pleeeeeeze DH???) afterward. We'll be at BCV's. A cappacino chiller next to SAB - I am so there...

I am returning to Disney July 19 2008 as well. July 19 thru Aug 3 at the Grand Floridian. I have never been during these 2 hot summer months but pulling my 3 kids out of school for 2 weeks was not an option. Does anyone have ideas as to how to keep cool ect during these hot and very crowded months??:laundy:
