Hi everyone! Our trip has been booked and this is our first disney cruise. I know their are a lot of people registered through this thread, but my questions are:
How can I sign up for the fish hooks? My daughter is 4 and is very excited. And my second question is, anyone traveling from Ford Motor Co?

Hi all,

I know not everyone is on the FB group, so I wanted to update folks.

Kids Meet

Planned for 3:00 p.m. on the 20th at the basketball courts. Kids & adults meet & greet. Maybe make some friends before the kids club. 4:00 is the mandatory safety drill.

Private Mixology Class

We have arranged for a private mixology class where you are taught how to make four to five different drinks. Rave reviews on the Disboards. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Sunday, June 21st at 3:00 p.m. $15. 18 & over. Lasts for 45 minutes to an hour. You must PM or email me aimee@trumantickets.com your last name, stateroom # & how many people are going.

Beer Exchange

We are going to have a beer exchange on ship. Bring 12 beers & share them with other beer lovers. They can be beers from your hometown or just your favorite beverages. The location & time of the exchange is yet to be determined but will be within the first twenty-four hours onboard.

Hi, welcome!! You found the DISmeet, and this is where we all started. We also have a facebook group going if you are interested, that is where a lot of current planning is happening... beer exchanges... meetups for the kids etc... it is easier to communicate together en masse on FB as opposed to the DIS. Are you on facebook? If so, then to get into the group you need to friend request (Aimee Gromowsky) and she can add you in... then if you want you can hide or unfriend her... as well as invite any one else you would like. We try to put things also here on the DIS, but this is a slower... one person reply at a time format. Traveling as adults alone? or with kids? It is our second Disney cruise... and I am cruising with my DH and kids: DD(12) and DS(18).

Can't wait... do you know about pirate night?

Hi I can't friend you if I don't know your name... if you don't want to put it on the DIS you can PM me... or I will send you a PM with my name and then you can friend me on FB

A lot of these planning activities have just started... some like the Meet and greet are just show up... others like the Mixology or Beer exchange you need to sign up.

So far we have 7 people doing the beer exchange... you bring beers from your home that you like and exchange them with everyone else, so you get the same number back but assorted You can sign up for the Beer exchange as well once on FB.

I am sorry, but it is too late to join the formal Fish Exchange group which closed June 1... that had to close earlier so folks have time to get their things together. If you take another DCL cruise and want to do one you need to start looking for those earlier than a few weeks pre-cruise. Most will set up a separate thread for the FE and will usually close around 6 weeks BEFORE cruise. If you give me your cabin ## though I will make sure you and your kids get a little gift.

Just sent you a friend request on FB. I also asked the FE group if we can late add you, and the answer was yes!!

Wow - two weeks on the ship, how exciting. I know many people do this. Do you have to pack up, check out and check back in?

We had the same stateroom for both cruises - so no, we didnt have to pack anything. We had to get off the ship (we waited in the lobby until everyone else was off) we disembarked in our bathing suit and coverups, by the time we got thru customs and checked back in, we waited maybe 10 minutes and were back on the ship - Lizzy asked one of the crew if she was able to swim in the pools, and they removed the ropes for her - she was beyond thrilled to have the pools to herself! hahaha
It was a fabulous vacation - we have already booked for the Dream, next year!

Thank you. That is great and good to know. We were wondering how it worked. I think years ago it was done different where you had to pack and leave the cabin. Hope you are having a great time again.
